Furnace needed a service call. Told Pat last night when he came to fix it that he should be fixing A/C this time of year. I'm going into the service industry, $50 just for the call. Parts & labor extra.

Morning ya'll. This is just a quick post and run for me. The kids have dentist appointments this morning at 8:00. I know, I know, who would do that to the kids on summer vacation? Me, I guess. Kendall is getting her bottom braces on this morning and they like to do that first thing. Kelsie just has a cleaning and Colin is getting sealants on his permanent teeth so no cavities for him. Oh, what a fun filled day I have in store for us.

I need to get the troups moving because it's a 45 minute drive to where we need to go. Tootles.

Hey, Sassy ladies! Welcome, Shirley! I live in fear of having a pipe burst in our house - I remember having that happen when I was a kid and what a mess it was! Now, I drive DH crazy all fall, checking on whether out outside pipes are shut so that we don't have a nasty spring surprise. He loves it.

Judi - glad that mom is doing better!

Tricia - how were your dental adventures today? What fun for you!

Becca - what's with our schedules, we never seem to conincide any more! Are you feeling better (weren't you feeling crappy last night?)

Bonnie - no cosmo for me, unless you want to drive me home. I will just have to covet the cosmos on the movie screen, I suppose.

Angie - want to share a yucky dog moment with me? Linus has contracted Giardia, from God knows where. It's been a week of doggy diarrhea. - yuck! Paired with limited mobility, the mess can be formidable. Perhaps I need to get a fish.

Heather - what's up, lady? We keep missing each other too!

Evening ladies! I am feeling lots better all of a sudden, could have been the blue gills I had for dinner. They were yummy! I decided the boys can do all the fishing they want this summer, its a cheap meal compared to buying stuff at the store these days!

Sorry that Linus has contracted Heather's family parasite Wilma. That stinks, literally. I crack myself up. I know its not funny, but I am seriously laughing out loud at myself because I typed it and then thought about what I typed. Yes I need intervention or maybe Xanex.

I better stop typing before I make more bad jokes.

Good Thursday morning Sassy Somethings! The sun is shining and it looks beautiful outside, too bad its only 40 degrees.

Tricia, wow you go girl! A little celebration dance! How many pounds are you down total? This smilie always reminds me of you.

Judi, how's things? Is mom giving the nurses heck?

Wilma, how many more days of school for the boys? Today is the last day of swim club for Brendan and Justin till the middle of June. Justin's not sure he wants to sign up again, he likes lessons better because he doesn't have to swim the whole time since they do one kid at a time. He's a nip and tuck kind of kid.

Bonnie, the El accident I told you about injured 10 peeps. Driver error and old systems are to blame they said. I'm glad it didn't happen to us!

Angie, I missed you again last night! But look what I found for you!

Good morning to all you sassies out there. I slept until almost 7:00. I think my body is starting to adjust to summer. I'll never really sleep past that so it's all good.

Wilma I do really like this little cutie. I must use her all the time and not even realize it. How the doggie poop? I hope Linus is feeling better.

Yesterday I took Kelsie to get a work permit. Yes people the teenager is getting a job for the summer. It's at our local athletic park and she'll be the one behind the counter selling coke, popcorn, nachos and gatoraide.

Hello again.....Well I am not the worst Mom....but I don't think Kate will be giving me any awards. I went to the 4th grade award ceremony so I got points but then I promptly lost them again because , not only would I not stay, but I refuse to check her out of school early.

Kate won 3 awards...one of them is for A/B honor roll. I'm am really proud of her. She really worked hard to catch up after all the school she missed this year.

Wilma~Giardia?? How weird! Has Linus been sneaking out and drinking water out of streams lately? We used to get our dogs vaccinated for that in Colorado but quit when we moved here.

Becca~darn-I missed you again?? I had to finish a book the Bonnie got me hooked on. Blame it on her! I saw that about the El accident and I thought the same thing! They said that the conductor ignored a red light on the tracks. We had a couple of conductors that drove like crazy people-wonder if it was one of them. Did you hear where it happened? Since we have all the stops between downtown and Rosemont memorized I was just wondering if we'd recognize the location.

Good morning to all you sassy somethings! Happy Friday.

Outdoor time is most enjoyed in Spring, Fall and even Winter because ours are so mild. Summer is when we enjoy the air conditioner and try to do indoor activities. Yes it's mighty hot in humid in the south.

Teenage dilemma going on here. Kelsie is 16 1/2 and most of her friends are driving now. Mark and I first said that she wasn't allowed in a car with them until they were driving alone for at least 6 months. That worked for a while because everyone was a new driver together. Well, fast forward to now and you guessed it, my time is up. I'm just having a hard time letting go or realizing that she really is growing up. How do you handle letting go? Last night she went to Starbucks with a few of her girlfriends and I was worried the whole time. Does this ever get any eaiser?
