Heather, my thoughts & prayers are with you guys! I hope Kate feels better ASAP! Keep us posted, and stay safe!

Tricia, thakns for the cinnamon rolls, nothin' better, lady! Now I'm craving Cinnabon, which I like to think were named after me. :)

Great. Now every time I eat a Cinnabon, I'm gonna feel like a skeevy cannibal! Wait. On 2nd thought, can you gross me out out for Auntie Anne's pretzels too? Those are my weakness! Can't wait for lunch. I'm gonna give you a little something.:rolleyes1 I:rolleyes1

Toot if you need them, you're more than welcome.:flower3: Toot, we all have perfect containers with a little help from playtex.

I must be a little addled today, because my first thought was "Tampons?" I guess that was my "duh" moment for the week!!!

Ummm...my left tata is named Auntie Anne? ;) Hope that helps! :rotfl:

Yeah, I'm looking forward to lunch too! You're gonna "give me a little something"? Sounds kinda innuendoey... ;)

Judi, I thought of tampons too. Playtex does not scream "bra" to me!

Wonderbra, ok is that better. Nope, just cost ya more ;)

Hey, Things! I have been MIA, working my way through a monstrously sucky week. Becca, the kids did not eat me alive but the Director ate my teaching partner alive! We had a blow up on Monday from a really difficult parent and she accused my teaching partner of hating her kid, being rude and not letting her have access to her child when she wanted it. Of course, none of it is true - this is a woman who wanted another pair of teachers and didn't get them so she's decided that she just won't be happy with us. Anyway, the Director flew off the handle at my partner regarding what the parent was saying and a day later my partner quit. Can't say I blame her, but what a mess. We have to hire someone by Friday afternoon because although my partner offered to stay until arrangements could be made, she was told her last day would be Friday. Oy vey!

Living in a small town, news of this has traveled fast. The problem parent is well-connected in town and rumors are flying all over school. She refuses to answer my emails or talk to me so I am not sure how, or if, we'll be able to work together. I don't care what she says about me because I know the truth of what happened and when the truth is on your side, it will set you free, right? It's just a crappy situation because it was handled so poorly. My teaching partner is a really good lady - she would never do what this woman accused her of. Sucks all the way around. I am putting in an application to do school nursing on a substitute basis. I won't leave these kids this year - it would be too disruptive and hard on them. But, I need to get my foot in the door of some other type of job, I think.

As for the children, the Tues/Thurs class seemed better until today (we had 4 that cried off an on all morning). Wed/Fri is getting better, and who knows what will come from Monday. I expect some backsliding when we have to replace a teacher, but hopefully it won't be too bad. The temptation to hide in the nearest available hole is great.

Heather - I'm praying for you, girl! I have been keeping you all in my thoughts ever since Ike started to look threatening. We have an extra room if you need it! I know that Virginia would be a long way to go, but we are here if you need us. And, we are exceptionally dog friendly!:dogdance:

Angie - did you all have a IM fest about the ADR's? I'm up for anything, really. I'll go check at the pie hole. How is your back? How long till shots?

Bonnie - I am glad your class is getting better! Want to trade?;)

Shannon - How is Nutri system working? My SIL did it and loved it! Two years later and the weight is still gone. Oh, and may I say how glad I am to have another Clutter Queen on this thread!

Tricia - what's new with you, my friend? Judi - thanks for the Christmas countdown! We could use a little Christmas around here:santa:

Hi Julie, Rella, Sarah and anyone I missed! Hope everyone is having a good day!

It's 9/11 again. I hate this day.:guilty:

I thought tampons too, but I wasn't going to say anything and sound silly! Glad I'm not the only one!

Wilma, that just stinks! Want me to tell the woman to zip it? She isn't anyone here and I think she needs to be brought down a peg or two. I haven't had the opportunity for awhile and would be happy to oblige. Want to start a home based business with me? There must be something lucrative we can do from our living rooms right? My sister knows a lady that buys big boxes of beads from China, sorts them and sells them on ebay and an online store. She makes enough to have 2 people work for her fulltime and 3 part time, plus she sends her 2 kids to daycare full time and is getting divorced and is keeping the house on an expensive lake. So she must be doing fairly well with it.

Shannon, I'm with you on Auntie Annes pretzels, except now with Bonnie's revelation they just don't sound good anymore.:scared:

Bonnie, have fun at the school thing tonight. We had ours last week, but its more fun than anything. I think you should go in with a can of silly string just to liven it up.

Angie, your gift has history, Bonnie's is just random and could have fleas, mites or bedbugs. You should feel honored that when I see processed cheese products I think of only you. And I gladly scratched itchy man's itch with a garden rake while wearing a hazmat suit. Then I lysoled and bleached him to make the itch stop.

Wilma  Tis the year for it.

Playtex, the cross your heart bra. :scared1: I'm old. Tampax are tampons.

When did I become my mother

Hmmm, I was also thinking tampons but I couldn't find in the thread where we had slipped into discussing feminine hygiene products so I figured I was just confused and decided to be mum about it.

Ooohh, good QOTD! Are you a plastic or cardboard user? Cardboard works for me. Those little pointy ends on the plastic applicators worry me.:sad2:

Oh, and as for cinnamon rolls, I fall into the Weird Orange category. Of course, I won't turn down a traditional iced cinnamon roll if someone has an extra they need to unload. No sticky glaze/nut duo for me. Not a nut fan.

Sorting beads, Becca? I think I would go blind or insane, take your pick. I think we should make a series of instructional videos telling annoying people how to ZIP IT!!!!!!!! They obviously need our help.;). Maybe we could do it music video style! Are you excited about your trip? I am impressed with the fact that you sent a box. I have always wanted to do such a thing.:)

QOTD's: regular or with nuts for me. I prefer the nutty ones, that should not surprise you!;) And cardboard since its biodegradable and plastic stays here forever.

Fine then, I like my cinnamon rolls with nuts, not my tampons. You are a nutter Judi and you make me laugh when I really need to!:goodvibes

Well, I didn't start the pons and buns. I'm late to the party.

Does that mean I'll be stuck with the bill :cool2:

Hey Hags!!

QOTD: N/A!!!! (not applicable; not "no applicator --ewwww) I'm a young hyster-sister!!!

Well, the jv volleyball is 1-2 and varsity is 0-3. But the good news is apparently they are so much better this year according to the 3 coaches we played. (Must be the new coach!! ) :-)

I can't stay... It is 9/11 and to me it also is our anniversary -- Happy 15 years!!! Well, at least most were happy.... :-) Kidding....

Hope to stick around longer this weekend. Miss you all...

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY JULIE!!!!

Tampons and Rolls: I like mine nutty, cardboard, multi-pack, and extra icing. Feel free to match up the adjectives with the nouns!!!:lmao:

Y'all are cracking me up! Where else but this thread is it acceptable to discuss tampon and cinnamon roll preferences in the same sentence?:rotfl:

Wilma-- Oy y vey! Sounds like a week from Hades. I cannot abide trouble-making parents. How can that woman sleep at night?!?! She literally got someone fired for no reason at all. It's just not right. She ought to be doused w/ syrup and tossed into a nest of fire ants!

As for 9/11, it was a sad day around here. My neighbor's entire office was killed (he was out smoking a cig in the inner courtyard of Pentagon), and he was talking about it today while we were doing yard work. This is the first time he's gone into detail---- I think the years going by help--- but it was still very emotional.

Ummm...my left tata is named Auntie Anne? ;) Hope that helps! :rotfl:

Yeah, I'm looking forward to lunch too! You're gonna "give me a little something"? Sounds kinda innuendoey... ;)

Perhaps a public bday spanking is in order? I can just see it now-- Bonnie getting butt thwacking by the pastry counter at Panera!:rotfl2:

Wonderbra, ok is that better. Nope, just cost ya more ;)

Nope. Wonderbras don't like me. I'm too floppy to stay in those suckers! How 'bout Olga? That's a nicely priced, industrial-strength line of boulder-holders!

Wilma  Tis the year for it.

Playtex, the cross your heart bra. :scared1: I'm old. Tampax are tampons.

When did I become my mother

Ummm, yesterday? Last Thursday?:confused3

As for Nutri-System, glad to hear some positive reviews! Haven't received pkg yet, but it shipped yesterday. In the 2 days since I've ordered it, I've treated myself to a Blizzard, a hot dog, and tacos. I feel like I'm on death row and those were my final meals!

Good Morning! We are still here...so far. and I hvae good news. Scott didn;t have to stay at the hospital after all. He is here with me:cool1: Yay.

I cannot tell you how relieved I am to have him home. I would also liek to take this moment to tell eveyone how much I love my husband,.......even when he aggravates me (which he will prpbably do today since I said I loved him and that he is great;) ) It is at times like this when I realize how much I need him with me.

anywayyyy.....back to other matters....

How are you doing Tricia? Is it windy there? This storm is massively wide. I am so thankful it has not strengthened as much as projected.

Good morning Sassies!! I like toasted coconut, I have been toasting coconut everyday for the last week. Is that weird?:confused3 I think I'm preparing for the school bread I'm going to be partaking in next week. I will probably find those 10 pounds.:rolleyes1

I agree with Shannon, Wilma! Make it those ants from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, they were particularly gruesome yet strangely efficient!

Heather, I'm thinking about you. Can you pm me your cell number, my phone fell in the lake and I don't have it anymore.

Julie, happy anniversary a day late! I too have been married 15 years, its a long time, but it went by fast!

Tricia, are you feeling the outerbands of Ike? Go shake your fist at him, maybe he will turn around and run!

Judi, where's our hunk for Friday? Someone knocked my aunt down at a casino a few weeks ago, she's has rheumatoid arthritis really bad and she fractured her pelvis and spine where they connect. So she was in a nursing home recovering and now she has pneumonia. This is Brittany's grandma, I don't think that poor girl can take much more, she doesn't want to go to the hospital and her grandma knows how she is about hospitals and told her to stay home. It isn't looking great now. Sorry to unload on you, but you are our rock.:sad1:

Good morning ladies.

Yes Heather we are getting the outer bands from Ike. We lost power twice this morning but thankfully it came right back on. It's quite windy out there too. How are you doing my friend? Great news that Scott is home. :thumbsup2

I'm going back to read what I've missed.

I am doing ok sa far. Where I live is under only a voluntary evacuation order. We are not leaving. I talked to all my neighbors and everyone is staying too. Ithink my hosue is sound enough to withstand the winds expected and my mom's apartment (we converted the second floor of my garage) is available should we flood. I am still worried and scared, but I also have faith it will all be ok. Having ya'll here praying with us and listening to me ramble has also helped a great deal.
