Coffee beeps, buzzards ring.

On a good day the door bell even goes ding dong. I won't even go there with the dryer because I turned that buzzer off. Sometimes I don't feel like folding clothes and that darn buzzer will keep going off until I get off my bottom to stop it. I showed it because I turned that darn thing off. Now I just guess when the clothes are finished drying and I fold when I want.

Heather is Ike far enough to the west of you now? Are they calling for evacuations in your area? I'm praying for ya'll.

they are calling for mandatory evacs of the surrounding area.....so far my house is in a voluntary evac zone, but we are expecting to get the order to evac at noon. The storm surge is the main concern right now.

Kate is sick as a dog. I took her to the doctor yesterday and she is on antibiotic thank goodness. She sounds so much worse this morning, but that could be because it is breaking things up.

We are not leaving.....at least i don;t think we are. Panic is contagious. I am trying to pack things though just in case. I don't think i have enough money to stay anywhere for very long. I would ahve to find a shelter that would allow my dog.

Bex~way to go on losing 10 lbs!! Unfortunately, I think I found them. Try not too worry too much about your test results. I'm a firm believer in not worrying until you know you have something to worry about. And how come Bonnie gets a cute little lizard or a tropical outfit and I get stinky rotten cheese? Guess I know where I stand... The komodo dragon tripped over the stinky itchy man from the El and he asked for you to scratch him.

Shannon~I did Nutra System and lost 35 lbs-it really works. Just be prepared to be hungry for awhile-the portions are teeny tiny!

Bon Bon~wassup? I'm ashamed to admit I haven't seen Momma Mia yet. I would LOVE to go to a sing-a-long showing! I've always wanted to go to one of The Sound of Music sing-a-longs, but they never seem to have one around here. Maybe everybody else wasn't singing cuz they were too shocked at your singing capabilities.

Wilma~where are you? Don't tell me your class has done you in already! Who do the Wahoos play this weekend? I just read an article about the best burger joints in America, and one of them was in C-Ville!! White Spot-ever been there?

Good morning Sassies! I'm already tired of the school routine. How long until summer break?

Tricia, I love to bake cinnamon rolls in the morning too. It makes it very easy to get the boys up and moving. I'm a horrible stress eater too. I have been cutting out night time snacking and walking everyday. I'm going to have to keep it up in the winter so I guess that means the treadmill will need some dusting.

Judi, Brian is meeting friends in Jackson for golf on Saturday so no tax paying for me. I need to find something fun and inexpensive to do with the boys. I thought about Meijer gardens again, but it isn't so inexpensive.

Heather, I'm thinking about you.

Wilma, did the kids eat you alive?

Bonnie, the cat licks its fur and sits in the little box.

Hey hags! Home for lunch. We need to start having our lunchtime chats again, I miss those!

So today was a crazy day but not all that bad. Just a little hectic. The hard part is finished now though!

Tonight I have to go to Caitlin's middle school back-to-school night, where we go around and sit in each class for 10 min and listen to the teacher tell you about the class. The middle school and high school back to school nights are a pain in the rooty. Got Heathers taken care of last week, this week is Caitlin's turn.

Brent comes home tonight from his trip, but I can't pick him up cause I'll be at the school thingie, so he's taking a cab home from the airport. 30 miles!! Or something like that. But its on the company dime, so who cares?

I am calm on the outside but on the inside I am a bundle of nerves. I am working very hard to not scare the kids. Joey is oblivious....kate is a little concerned....she has been asking me questions.

Thanks Tricia....so far we are good. I would feel a whole lot better if I could jsut predict the future and knew exactly what to expect. I have been through hurricanes before but each one is different. Scott and I are not handling the stress very well either. I think he is afraid to leave us this time and he has to stay at the hospital. We ahve been squabbling a little bit......luckily we bothknow why so are not taking it personally....it is kindof just a tension release. Does anyone else do that? We were fighting one minute and literally the next minute we were laughing at each other.....yes we have officially lost our minds
