Count me in on the freakishly clean if company is coming over people. If you come over unannounced (which by the way I don't mind because we aren't formal people) and my house has a few things out of place I don't stress over it because I didn't know you were coming. On the other hand if I invite someone, anyone, over I've got to have a spotless house. So do I go into the weird catagory? :confused3

Please...you've BEEN in the weird category for the past two years that I've known you. ;) :rotfl:

I think that's pretty normal. I wish I could relax about people just dropping by-I just feel so embarassed if the house isn't spotless. I always keep the house picked up-beds made, no dirty dishes in the sink, no dirty clothes lying around. But I have 2 big furry dogs so there is the inevitable dog fur everywhere and drool on the coffee table. I know most people don't care, but I just hate for people to see all that!

:lmao: Well, she is from NOLA, and we've seen how wacky people from there are (Renny on BB). Just remember, takes one to know one!! ;)

I care if there is dog fur everywhere and drool on the coffee table.:snooty:

Just joshin, as long as there is no dog fur or drool in my food or drink I'm good! What grosses me out is days old food still on the plates on the table or counters. You should visit my sister in laws house! I always feel better when I go there.

Yes I can see where that would bother the great Clorox Queen! :teeth: Just for that I will make sure there is EXTRA dog fur and drool in your food and drink when you come for the pool party! ;)

It's actually a losing battle-my house is kinda like Pig Pen from Charlie Brown. The second I clean and dust it, the dogs come in and immediately coat all surfaces with fur and drool.

To keep those fur babies in line, may I suggest

Sweet, lovable kitty kicker

Yes, no longer grounded and just in time. Had to read about my street's trip report... good good entertainment! ;)

:dance3: Happy Annivesary to me...da da da. Oh wait, that was yesterday.
 Hello my dearest Granddaughter (2 d's or 1) Shannon, long time no hear from.

:grouphug: Judi thanks for booing me but havn't quite figured out how to put it in my siggy. Guess I am getting too old for all of this technology.

Hi Bonnie, Kimmy, Angie, Becca and Tricia and any one else I have missed.

Hmmmmmmm, I was just reading Bonnie's post on the previous page (the last one on the page) and what do I see when I scroll down but an Ebay ad for men's see-through rainbow colored thong underwear.:scared1: Leave it to Bonnie to inspire such things.;)

These political threads are annoying to me too. Honestly, what is the point? Do you really think you are going to change anyone's mind? Or do they just like to hear themselves talk?

I must say that the Clorox bottle and I are growing more distant since this 5 day a week job started. The house is staying tidier, I think, because no one ever seems to be home to be in it! However, there is less time to Clorox all of the unmoving surfaces, which worries me a bit. Angie, I would be perfectly at home with dog furr and drool, so don't worry about me. They are just sharing, and we wouldn't want to be rude by eschewing their contribution to your home, now would we?

Heather - I hope Ike keeps trending South. It seems to be, but we are still praying for ya'll just the same. Is Kate still happy at school? Is Joey in preschool this year?

Becca - have your boys re-started swimming? Barney just started last night - he was whipped when he dragged himself out of the pool. He moved up to a higher level practice group and I think the coach is trying to weed some kids out. But Barney is a tenacious guy, so I think he's there to stay. At least he's sleeping well!;)

Tricia - I hate missing my kid's events! How does Colin feel about it?

Judi - are you job hunting?

We had Back to School night tonight at both boy's schools so the year is officially underway. How many days until Christmas break?:goodvibes

Hi Granny, Shannon, Kimmy, Sarah, Julie and anyone I missed. See you tomorrow!

Wilma, 100 days till Christmas Break

32 degrees up here this morning. :)

Good morning ladies.

Shirley I hope you had a great Anniversary. Did you go anywhere special?

Judi I can't believe we live in the same country. 30's by you and we are already in the 80's. :scared:

Happy Hump Day! Judi where's our picture?

Good morning! I love hunk day! I think it should be hunk day 7 days a week.

Shirley, Happy Anniversary a few days late!

Judi, can you get to the casino and win me a few thousand dollars? You are closer than I am, I'll send you some cash.

Wilma, I'll help you with the use of the Clorox bottle. I just had to buy a new gallon. I'm being super paranoid this week with germs, I don't want anyone to get sick right before vacation. Do you think they will allow me to bring bleach on the plane if its in a 3 oz container? Otherwise I'm bringing my clorox wipes and masks.

Angie, hows the back? How's the job hunt for dh going? Any new leads? I will bring my own food and drink to the pool party. At least with Specks hair its small enough that I wouldn't notice it in my food.

Bonnie, whats new in Funky town? Whatcha up to with Brent gone?

Heather, still praying Ike stays away from you.

Julie, would Atlas be interested in staying with Speck whilst we are at Disney? He will be lonely with just Grandma and Grandpa around, he's so used to running around and playing all day.

I shipped a box to Disney yesterday, I've never done that but thought I could keep from having to lug a bunch of crap with me that way. I'm sure I'll still have to lug a bunch of crap anyway!

Good Morning..........So far so good in the hurricane dept....knock on wood....where is Bonnie's head when I need it?;) :lmao: J/K...you know I love you Bonnie.

I bought the Mamma Mia soundtrack when I went out the other day. Kate and I have been singing along to it....slightly off-key if I want to be honest about it.....which I don;t.....we are singers in the making. I am thinking of taking us on the road:rotfl:

Kate still likes school. She has been home sick yesterday and today though. She was sounding better after staying in bed all day yesterday but she woke me in the middle of the night and said her head was hot and pounding...uh oh! Sure enough she had a fever or almsot 102. So we put a damp cloth on her head and I gave her some Motrin. She seems better now but no school for her today. I guess this is the getting used to all the new germs from school phase of the year:confused3

Funny tidbit about Joey........ I don;t think I told this to you but if I have I apologize in advance. Youknow how I am having trouble getting Joey to eat.....well I finally got him to try bacon. And naturally having tried it he loves it. Want to know how I did it? I told him they were doggie treats....no kidding. So now when he wants bacon he asks for doggie treats.

The other day at the grocery store I was going to buy some more bacon and he says really loud "Oh mommy can I have a doggie treat?" Do you think I should keep my house freakishly clean for CPS?:rolleyes1 It is possible one of the 10 people staring at me could have called them.

Hope everyone is having a great week so far. Cya later!

Heather, Cole's home with the same thing. Hope Kate feels better soon:hug:
Dog food, cat food, whatever works.:thumbsup2

Kimmy, hunk day is nice. Thank Tricia, I forgot to post it. :upsidedow

Becca, the bug is running the school up here already. Send the boys in haz-mat suits. :thumbsup2

Judi~32 degrees??? :scared1: We're still right around 100 every day and still diving into the pool after work every day.

Yay-it's hunk day!! Here's one for Becca (just think of it as a going away present):

Those bubbles are appropriately placed, huh? ;)

Well, I read the thread about someone checking out the pictures of Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) naked in Equus on Broadway, and inquiring minds want to know so of course I had to check them out. All I can say is  I am a bad girl. :sad2:
