We stayed in May and loved it. First DVC time but preferred it to Grand Floridian. Thought the location was excellent and would be the reason we would return most years. As we go for two weeks at a time would try a few days somewhere else as well though.

Can't wait to be back at SSR.

We were there July 17th-July 21st in a studio. Normally we get a 1 bdrm, but we did the 3 day cruise afterwards. The resort is very pretty and nice. Right now, it's not really for us. I have a 2 DD (9 and 2) and they put us in The Paddock which, to me is far from everything. At least we had a 1st floor room. And one of the bus stops was right outside our door. I used it once to come home from DTD and felt like I had to remind the guy to stop there. I guess he figured he may have missed our stop when me and another woman didn't get off at the others.

I loved the decor! BCV, BWV, and OKW all have either lt green, or lt. blue or pink and I am tired of those colors. The darker furniture was classier. I would stay there again, but not during the hot summer and maybe when my DD was a few years older. I would also ask to stay in the Springs. It's closer to the main pool. Although, we enjoyed the quiet pool most evenings around 6pm-9:30 pm to ourselves! I did laundry while we swam and it went pretty quick! There was no charge for the laundry even though it has a price on there. I tried putting $ in but it wouldn't take it. Also with the laundry...there's a front facing washer and I followed the instructions, but it's a little tricky when you go to start it. I called engineering and they came out and I felt like an idiot. I told them they should put a sticker on there. I mean I KNOW how to do laundry!

Another thing, there was blood or something on the inside of the curtain and wall near the patio. There wasn't alot. It could have been spaghetti sauce. Yuck! I brought Chlorox wipes and DH wiped it off.

We ate at Artist Palette and we both had massages at The Spa.

Artist's Palette..not impressed. At all. They need to do something else with that menu. They also need a TS restaurant. It's such a huge place. The Spa was nice and very relaxing! Aimee (who's on the boards here sometimes) did my massage. I highly recommend her!! She is super, super nice! The robes were very comfy and there were some young girls getting manicures. It was so cute! I'll defintely take my DD there in the future.

There's a few touches that it's missing (compared to BC, BW and WL), but that may be because it's not attached to a delux hotel.

Overall, I'd stay there again in maybe 5 years. We own at BCV and VWL. I like being close to things especially with a smaller child. I also missed the Valet Parking and the Porter. I missed the Porter more! We take too much luggage! To me..all the resorts are nice. I'd stay at all of them. We wanted to try it out.

Oh..and NO ROOM SERVICE! I agree with the other person. With young children and their schedules messed up, it would be nice to have the option of ordering room service.
