Saratoga or AKL?

Saratoga Springs is very close to Disney Springs which have lots of great restaurants. SSR is very spread out with very nice grounds, lots of sidewalks to take walks, peaceful and quiet. Animal Kingdom is very nice with a few good restaurants, if you have a view room its nice. Going to the lobby and relaxing on a couch or a rocking chair by the fireplace is nice. Both properties have different likes so its really up to you on what makes you happy and comfortable. You can’t go wrong with either property. We have stayed at both properties many times and enjoyed our stay at both.

I've stayed at both and I'd recommend AKL, hands down. LOVE Jambo House, and I think you can use the pools at both Jambo and Kidani. SSR feels very spread out, whereas at AKL everything is right there. The lobby is gorgeous, there is a fire pit with storytelling (well... pre-covid, not sure now), animal viewing from overlooks around the resort, etc. Ask for a partial-view savanna room; we always do, and have never been disappointed!

Yes! We've decided to stick with AKL. Our toddler loves animals and I've always wanted to stay there (grew up with the giraffe sticking their head in the room commercial).

We'll just have to go back and try Saratoga!

I will alwaysntell people AKL...that way my SSR has more choice for us. ...now the 2 often negatives to SSR is spread out and not great food....well as others have said...Disney Springs for food...the other..well try being stuck at the far end of one wing at AKL..and let me know what is spread out. Enjoy either one.

SSR ....IMO the best pools on property. Some great areas for young kids. Love the walk into Springs for some great kid friendly restaurants --- dinosaur, Rainforest Cafe. Im going to add that this is my home resort which I LOVE, and I may be biased. When you need a break frim the parks....its so relaxing

I own at SSR and have stayed at Kidani,
the Savannah view was cool, the hike to the room was not, when they ask if you want to be close to the lobby you say YES….
AKL is a hike to everything but AK….
I’m love JINKO and Sata…. But …
the pool was ok…. at Kidani

SSR, is pretty center to everything… yes there are a lot of stops on the bus stops….
the turf club is a solid B everytime…. The springs are right there and you have countless options…
SSR has two signature pools and quiet pools at each village….

The Savannah is pretty cool, but …
‘SSR is huge but the spring bus runs backwards so getting around is pretty easy…

if you are going to follow the toddler to the pool have two “main pools” is nice
