Our first DVC point purchase was BWV; our second was SSR.
Over the years we have found that we are growing tired of BWV mainly due to the lack of upkeep. (There was a thread here a month or two ago discussing that, and although I didn't comment, we agree that it is not what it used to be.) With that, SSR has been our go to resort. It was especially clear to us on our last stay in November. Our first 5 days were at BWV in a "newly" refurbished room. It still looked tired and the "upgrades" were really cheaply done. Our last five days were in the Paddock area at SSR. The quality and cleanliness of that resort were so evident that my kids even noticed. Plus, the beautiful grounds are so peaceful and inviting. It is our favorite resort now.

Staying here for the first time in April as a rescheduled trip. I just upgraded to the preferred so if I'm reading this right well be closest to the bus and pool. Also is there a quick service restrauant for things like burgers and fries sort of thing. Any advice would be very helpful. Thank

If you end up in the Springs section you will be close to a feature pool, however the Congress Park section is also preferred and is farther from a feature pool, but very convenient to Disney Springs. There is a quick service location at Artist Pallete near the Springs pool. It has yummy things to eat. There are also abbreviated versions of quick service at the Paddock pool, Springs pool, and the Grandstand pool. They offer 2-3 sandwich type items and chicken breast nuggets. If you want to be close to bus and pool I would request the Springs section and specifically request near pool because the bus stop is right outside the pool area.

For future though, the Paddock section is in the standard view category. This section also has a fantastic pool and two convenient bus stops to choose from.
