Sarah & Bobby's 11-13-11 WP/GF--Completed--ALL PHOTO LINKS FIXED!

I vote for option #1 -ribbon goes well with all the white roses and ties in nicely, very airy!

WOW - what a wedding day ride!

Just caught up reading your PJ and everything looks great! I vote for option #1. Sorry about your PS, but the money will be better spent elsewhere. We just got back from ours and everything other than the tasting can easily be done over the phone. I am in the process of typing up a couple of posts about our PS and tasting so let me know if you have any questions about it.

Oh and I love the rehearsal dress!!!

LOL! It looks like I'm the odd one out...I vote #2...I love how the categories are stacked on the bottom...it's simple and classic...you could even dress it up and personalize it more by switching up the ribbon!

Well guys, I dont have much to update this week. Ive been going to a bootcamp and this is week 2...its KILLER!! I can feel myself getting stronger and better, though no serious pounds have come off yet...Im hoping its because muscle is building..at least Im hoping thats the case. I am going around telling people to poke my abs and look at me flex my muscles..its pretty funny! Its only a month long, Im hoping to really SEE some results soon.

The flowers came in and they looked BAD..:sad2: So we sent them back. Mom has a gift with flowers, as seen by our centerpieces, etc so we are going to order fresh ones and she is going to make the bouquets a few days prior to the wedding. We will do a trial run at home first though, just to make sure we know what we want, what were/she's doing and stuff like that. All of those pictures were very misleading..oh well I think real flowers will make it all that much prettier! :)

Im still thumbing through menus and different threads here to try and find aspects of everyone's menus to customize our own. So far I've got quite the list..the trick will be to keep it all in our price range. DF and I went over cake flavors and have decided on these:
Yellow Cake with Bavarian Cream & Strawberries Filling-1st layer
Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Cup Filling-2nd layer
Red Velvet w/Cream Cheese Filling-3rd layer
Marble Cake with Amaretto Filling-Anniversary Layer
I think we are only going to have 3 tiers..so one of these is getting nixed...what do you guys think about these choices?

Just when I thought I would give up on shoes I found these. You can customize colors down to even the sole of the shoe color!! So this is what Im thinking!! What do you all think?

I am going to really start working on a schedule this weekend for the wedding and also our 2nd newsletter. People need to start booking now, were almost 6 months out and I want to give them enough info..what should I put in it? I put most everything in the first one but I just dont know at this point? :confused3 Should i include a card for people to send back with their travel information, dates, ressie #'s, etc?

DF took a serious nursing test today he had to pass to graduate (in May) and he got a 95% on it!!:banana::banana: Im so happy and proud of him! I havent seen him in a few days since he's been so crazy about studying and stuff, its totally paid off! Now he just needs to pass the state board one (NCLEX??) and he is good to go and start job hunting! :cool1:

Lastly, and most importantly my Mom is in the hospital. Monday she was having really bad stomach pains and it moved into her back. She finally went to the ER and they admitted her and have kept her for 2 nights now. She has Pancreatitis and hasnt been able to eat for 2 days..so shes feeling like a big pile of crap to say the least. She is gettingbetter and willbe okay but still..I just feel so bad because theres nothing anyone can do for her..and the medicine theyre keeping her on is causing baad headaches..so she's really no fun! I think sleeping is the only thing she can do to pass the time without pain..So please pray for my mommy's speedy recovery..I would be ever so grateful! (and so would she!!) :grouphug:

I will keep you all updated as more things come in and come to light...its been pretty boring on the wedding front lately..hopefully something exciting happens soon! :goodvibes

Lots of prayers to your mom! And congrats to the man with the 95%!!

The shoes are fun! I like that you can customize the bottom color! The cake choices look yum... just remember to box up a slice of the chocolate/pb-cup layer for me  That sucks that the flowers were bad, but the fresh ones will be so great--you'll love them more :)

For the travel information, I was going to have something written in there for them to email me the information instead of doing it on paper. I feel like people could forget to send the paper card back, plus the cost of postage when they could just send a quick email that I could keep in a folder and have access to anywhere I am! Just a thought!

Have a great holiday :) Dave and I are planning on cleaning the carpets, the house and packing on Easter so I went to the store, got $6 ham steaks, a box of Hungry Jack , a can of corn and some dinner rolls. When I came home--I told him "Happy Easter". He laughed. Pshhh that's gourmet compared to his mom's idea of a holiday. Last Easter she took us to Friday's, and for Thanksgiving she took us to Cracker Barrell. Let me tell you how glad I am that she's working this Easter!!! He never got good meals as a kid and that makes me sad :( That will change once I have time to cook and am not working allll the time :) I can't wait to introduce him to real food :cutie: Anywho... I just ran off the subject! I've also been collecting goodies for you at work!! Will get some more over the next month or so and ship it to you!

Bye for now!!

Thanks! I know Bob is really relieved! --almost as much as I am! :rolleyes1 Man, I wish I could use today as a free day to take care of stuff..heaven knows I need to but Im stuck at work..booo :headache: Thanks so much for stocking up on goodies, youre aweeesome!! Im looking forward to seeing what you guys get as freebies! Of course I'll box up some cake for you!!! Heck, you guys should just come on in and join the party!!! ;)

That's where/how I ordered my shoes! I loved that you could customize any and all parts of the shoe design. It's probably one of my most favorite purchases I've made. The quality is really awesome, but I can tell after serious dancing and walking around the theme parks the sole color will come off. If you do go though with it, you won't be disappointed...they are really comfortable and beautiful! :goodvibes

Hi Sarah!
I am loving those shoes- especially the pink soles! Sorry your flowers didn't turn out so great but Im sure the ones you make will be beautiful. My fiance is graduating as an RN this May too! Has yours started looking for jobs yet? Hope your Mom is feeling better too. Cant wait for the next update!

Only 200 more days until I marry my Prince Charming!! :lovestruc

Im pretty excited! But Ive got sooo much to do still. Theres more good news/bad news..I think this combo is becoming a trend with me. But Im glad to have something to balance it all out, at least its not ALL bad, right?

Good: We/Mom ordered my crinoline on ebay to save some $$ and it came in last week. We got it from a random seller and guess what kind of bag it came in!?!?!?! It was definitely meant to be!
IMAG0122.jpg

Bad: With the crinoline it shortens the dress, because it pulls the fabric out since theres more stuff to fluff it out, you know? So I have to wear tiny little dinky 1-2'' heels...:sad2: I know Ive posted this plenty before but Im only 5'--maybe 5'1'' on a really good day if I stand up really really straight..so I can totally get away with 5'' heels and I love high high heels...I guess it just wasnt meant to be for my wedding. :headache: So again, Im on the hunt for new shoes...arrgh. Thank goodness I havent bought anything crazy expensive yet.

More Good/Bad: When I put my dress on last weekend it didnt fit. It was pretty roomy and big. I need serious alterations..I mean if I were to not get it altered and start dancing at my reception, first I would look preggo because of all the extra room and material around my stomach, Im sure I would raise some eyebrows walking around with my champagne flute filled up all night.. :rotfl: and secondly I would ABSOLUTELY have a wardrobe malfunction a la Janet Jackson...not acceptable for a bride! :lmao: So that is something added to my to do list!

Really Good: Mom and I went to a local bridal salon last weekend to look at accessories. She has been mentioning Cathedral veils lately and I had pretty much dismissed the idea but I humored her....wouldnt ya know it Moms are ALWAYS right?!?!? I fell in love immediately! I dont know what I thought before but I am sooo much happier with the new veil. Were taking back the old one, and sticking with this one! I looove it! It has crystals scattered on the outside of the veil, only around the edges so it will complement the crystals on my gown and not combat the scalloped edges. I also tried on a headband that is similar to a tiara but not so royal-ish? Does that make sense? Again, Mom was right. She kept asking why I wasnt doing a tiara, its a Disney wedding, Im SUCH a prissy princess and I needed one. And again I dismissed it, but I asked the consultant to pull one, heck she was right about the veil the tiara wouldnt kill me to try on..so the girl comes back with one and its PERFECT! The perfect height, size, sparkle, etc. I felt like I channeled Grace Kelley with my new accessories on! These suckers werent cheap but I think they will be SO worth it! Here's to hoping they come in quickly!! So without further ado;

The Old:

GO MOM!! She knows best! :cheer2:

Now that were 200 days away I really need to buckle down and create a schedule so I can make ADRs in 20 days! EEEP! We found some killer airfare last night so we snagged it up!! The price dropped by $200 definitely a great deal!! :yay: We are trying to get ressies at a DVC resort for the stay but it looks like theres slim pickins :headache: maybe because its the last week of F&W festival? Fingers crossed we can get our 2 bedroom at OKW. Thats my first choice considering BLT is a RIDICULOUS amount of money to spend...although it would be pretty darn cool! Oh Well, I'll take what I can get. Worst case we will just stay at POR and I can move to the GF the day before.

I moved my planning session up. Since I wont be going to FL anymore I have a phone session with Lisa in late May. I need to organize and write up and put together a "book" of everything Ive got so far with photos and show her what we have, where we want it, and all that jazz. Anyone have any tips for a phone planning session? Weve got so much done already and I should probably show her everything so she can get the idea and stuff for the day. Is that even necessary?...geez Im clueless!

In non wedding related news, Bobby and I are starting the hunt for an apartment. He is graduating in a few weeks and will start the job hunt. We wont be moving for a few months but were trying to find a decent place in our price range with great amenities that will be available in our acceptable time frame...that shouldnt be hard, right? NOT! So were starting early. Fingers crossed we find something great!

I wish I could put a to do list here...but I dont even know what I need to do, where to start, etc..Im starting to get overwhelmed..Serenity NOOWWWW!!! This has become a frequent saying of mine lately, and hopefully some of you are Seinfeld fans that can appreciate this with me. It always helps me when I say it and then I laugh at myself wondering if I really sound like George's dad..:rotfl2:

Hope everyone has a really great week! :wizard:

I like program 1 the best. I like the shape, the white fits your white theme and I like that it is a book.

I also like your frame favor idea better than glasses. What does one do with one glass? You really need a set of 4-6 to use them again in the future, and you would hate for them to break guest's luggage on the way home. A frame is something you can pop a picture in and use forever and it can fit in luggage fairly easily and is less likely to break since it is flat.

I can't believe that I haven't read your PJ yet! So I may or may not have just read the entire thing in one sitting :rolleyes1

I really like the "theme" of just clean classic lines/colors/decor, it's something that you don't see very often and it's so classic and pretty. I love your dress and multiple pairs of shoes (I'm a shoe-aholic as well so I can never stop buying them!)

As for the programs, they are all pretty but I like option 1 the best as well. Can't wait for a new update! :goodvibes

Love the headband and veil. SOOO PRETTY!!!

Good luck on your apartment hunt, we are in the same phase now...but I am really picky, so it could take awhile.

I'm pretty sure your new veil is the same one I got! I'm not 100% sure because honestly I only tried on the one veil and I didn't really pay all that much attention to it (I was about to pass out from anxiety), but it was cathedral length tulle with the scatter sparkle crystals.... doesn't it make you feel soooo glamorous?!? Love it!

LUV your veil and the tiara!! About the crinny and shoes :( Even with my 4 inch'ers I still will never be able to have the classic picture of leaning on his shoulder.... the top of my head doesn't even get there  Guess you won't have a prayer of that either :( Good luck with the OKW... keep checking ***********!! Food and Wine took up a lot of DVC... I had tried to get the Boardwalk last month at the 7 month mark and it was already gone. So whatever. I was looking thru pix on allears and I'm considering putting my family in a Grand Villa at OKW. I'll have to find a DVC owner for OKW and book 11 months out exactly for them. Good luck with apartment hunting!!

Love your hair piece and new veil!

I am sorry you are having to give up your higher heals though. I am going with no heals myself so that I do not end up taller than DBF. As a runner I am more than willing to make that sacrifice, but I am sure it is disappointing if you had your heart set on being higher.

Hey Sarah,

I know I posted on here before, not sure when and where. It's hard to catch up to some of these longer PJ's. :rotfl: before I go back and read through just wanted to comment on a few things: first, love love your veil! Is the first picture of it with your actual dress? I tried on that one and it was a strong contender! It is beautiful and looks great on you. I really like the custom shoes too. I had to check out the site as soon as I saw those... they have them in a 2" which might help with the crinnie situation if you decide to go that route with the shoes. Also, not sure if you are still taking votes on the programs but my vote goes for #1. I'm all over the place... I really like your rehearsal dress too. & Congratulations on being 200 days out. :)

Holy, moly with the updates girlie!

First off, the veil and tiara are awesome! It's so funny, your mom is total opposite of mine. She thinks the Cathedral veil is RIDIC and I INSIST on having one. When else am I going to be able to wear that big and monsterous of a veil? Or a veil period?! And your tiara is just right. It's absolutely gorgeous.
It's crazy how expensive they can be right?! Thankfully I've learned the trick of finding the style numbers and looking online to find them MUCH cheaper. hehe. :rolleyes1 Because every single tiara I pick up in a store and fall in love with.. is at least $300! :scared1:

Everything else is sounding fabulous. I'm so excited for you and so happy to hear that Mom is doing well!

Can't wait to see what your florals are going to look like! I was debating on doing the fake, but IDK I was scared that they'd 'look fake' in order for us to save money on the flower expense. I was even considering clay bouquets, which are FABULOUS, but they're still pricey. Wah. hehe. Maybe your mom can come and do my flowers too! :woohoo:

Just wanted to say hello! :flower3: I'll be spending the day getting caught up on this! :)

Ooh I just the veil and the tiara. Mums are wonderful at just knowing what will suit us. I did dismiss my Mums mutterings about a veil but I might try one on again. She did plant one on my head at a wedding show but I didn't really get into the idea as I was tired!
