Heading down for a solo trip in March. Always been a hard rock girl (biased from it being the hotel we went when I was a kid) and I really only have stayed at one other universal hotel as a kid (royal pacific) and I don’t remember that. I can’t justify the prices for hard rock on this trip it is thousands more for the same vacation package as the other hotels for just me. I am going for a week so trying to stretch the budget to have a longer vacation. Sapphire falls looks beautiful and the main draw for me is the walking path to VB, USF, and IOA and the water taxi. However, Stella Nova is about $900 cheaper that week for the same package. It’s tempting to go with the cheaper option since it’s close to epic also, but the transportation seems to be more of a hassle to the other parks/citywalk and I don’t know if it would be better to have more of that resort feel on a longer trip. Mostly would pick Stella nova due to price, but have not heard much about either hotel from others so wondering about if it’s really worth that much of a price difference. Cabana bay seems to have a recurring bed bug issue in the last year which has put me off staying there unfortunately. I was able to get a good deal with the multi day express that covers epic too in 2026 so that’s not factoring into my hotel
