Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom

Anyone else thinking about one of these?

I'll have to wait and see what the price is going to be, but I'm tempted. I'm ready for a new phone, and was going to get the Samsung Galaxy S4. It's the next big thing, you know.

However, I just saw an ad for the Galaxy S4 Zoom on Samsung's Facebook page. 16 MP camera with 10x optical zoom on a smart phone? Hmmmmmmm.

No definite date for a U.S. release that I can find, but looks like it might be as soon as July. Now to see if Verizon will carry it, and at what price.

This should end the debate about whether a smart phone can replace a point and shoot. Don't plan on getting it, but it good be a good option for some people.

I love the idea of the device, but for it to be a phone it'll be a bit unwieldy. Now the Samsung Galaxy NX looks nice, an interchangeable lens camera (I believe it's CSC so it's an APS-C sensor) with an Android OS and all the bells and whistles including 3G/4G LTE support.

This depends on flash type, speed of operation, control of settings, and more.
