I was wondering where you had been lately lol! It's like not hearing from a friend you talk to everyday on the phone:goodvibes. I will do my best to give you regular updates on the TR Stace I promise. Glad you are getting to visit Wayne, hopefully you guys will have a nice time this weekend :)

It funny you mention gifts of a lifetime because Dave actually looked into them to propose! He showed me the email with all thier suggestions once we were already engaged! I love the idea of a carriage ride though:goodvibes

Oh and the slush is a must try:thumbsup2

OOOh I can't wait to try the Kim Possible game lol!! Sounds fun.

I really was, you guys will have fun with it. And once you do it once you will notice all the little Kim Possible details in the WS:thumbsup2

They probably do hear some funny stuff. I heard almost the same thing but the boy I heard worded it as "women use it to cover their big chesty things" and Crush said "Let's play dori and forget we heard that"

Hey there,

It seems that I have had a lot to update this week, and it continues...

On a whim I decided to see how terrible airline prices would be for our DFTW/Disneymoon since it would overlap Feb School Break by 3 days. So I went on kayak.com and did a quick search...

Well I was shocked when I saw this...

Delta.... Round trip... Nonstop... $188/person!

I called Dave and said "should we?" he said to go ahead and book it so I put it on my CC and we are officially booked! Now to book the resorts and we will be all set!

Also, my mom and dad told me that they are having an engagment party for us in May. She didn't know where to have it though (hall, restauarant, etc etc) and I suggested (and I may be crazy here) Dave and I's house...

I figured since we would be having family over anyways why spend extra $$ on a hall or something when we could just do it at our house (we just have to pray for a sunny day or else we will all be stuck inside lol). I thought it was really nice of her to offer so I said I would make invites for her. Well just this morning I had ordered all my prints from our trip on walgreens.com and got a coupon for 20% off photo cards. So I took one of our E-Pics (the one in China) and put it on a card and ordered those too :) With the discount they were about $18 with tax and everything, and they will be ready to pick up tonight:goodvibes

The party is going to be on my Dad's birthday so I want to get a cake for him for that day too, he will love being around family so I think it will a nice way to show our appriciation too! (I think I'll make him his favorite Key Lime Pie too heehee)

So question, has anyone else had an Engagment Party? What is protocall for it? I really don't want anyone to feel obligated to bring a gift, I just want to have a fun BBQ with family and friends... Is that weird? And what if someone brings a gift, do we open it there? I am soooo bad at parties where I am the focus... guess that will make the wedding hard lol!

Any tips would be greatly appriciated on ettiquette for this party, I'm lost:confused3

hahahahahaha:rotfl2:! That is too funny how he phrased that:lmao:

Yay! An engagement party sounds fun. I didn't have one, so I have no idea on the etiquette for one, but I completely understand about being uncomfortable. I hate being the center of attention and I especially hate opening gifts i front of people. We do showers at my work, and I'm dreading mine. Your invites sound cute, you should post a pic after you pick them up tonight!

I think I just posted the same entry on your PJ:lmao:

YAY FOR THE POLY and YAY for extending it past Valentines day!!

I was thinking of surprising vin with a mini-vaca for Valentines up to florida from fri-Monday and have him take off work (All depends on prices of course but we wills ee) so, i may see you there!

Awww i had my e-party on my moms birthday!

People are going tobring you gifts whether or not you want them to. We actually wrote Your presence is our Present on the card but all still brought something...

if you need any help let me know1

Hi!! I'm a little lurker...far from my DFTW, but in love with weddings! I'm going to school to be a wedding planner! Anywho...just from you BOTH having this experience and how they come out with the bikini top...I think this is maybe a wanted reaction. What do they think anyone would say when they ask what a bikini top is used for? Even though Crush gets all awkward acting, I suspect they do it on purpose, ya know?

Oh and I meant to add that I am way jealous of your whole trip. And I want to do the mission thing especially since my name is Kim!! I would love a Kimmunicator! :woohoo:

Ok I just got all caught up!!! Great TR, made me so jealous I want to go :( You look beautiful in your trial Ana did a great job!!!!

$188!!!!!!! :eek:that is a fantastic price!

Oh I forgot: I love you E-pics they are amazing!!!!!

:cheer2:$188 r/t is freakin' awesome!!:cheer2:

And tha's so nice that your parents are throwing you an e-party!! Such a great idea to have it at your place, too ~ especially since you guys enjoy your family's company, having it at your place would be so much more intimate -- gotta love that warm gooey family feeling!!

oh oh oh...and it's so cute that it's also on your dad's b-day, and that you'll make key lime pie!! YOu could totally make it a FLORIDA Key Lime pie -- get it get it? hehehe Disney -- Florida -- Florida Keys -- Key Lime Pie...hahaha (OMG, i LOVE key lime pie, but have no idea how to make it well, tho -- what's your secret? *shameless attempt at wanting your recipe* hahaha).

Hey Sam!

thats so cool you are having an engagement party- you are crazy to have it in your house tho girl haha!! no, it will be great relaxing and having fun in your own home!

(i always think, if we throw parties in our house, its like omg the mess afterwards and you have to clean it all up, but i think the plus sides to it is that you can throw everyone out when youve had enough and you can go to bed when ya want haha!)

It'll be really good- and its even better because of saving the $$$'s you would have to pay for a hall, it would save you on food and drink too! Plusssss its your Dads birthday so its one big party in one- which is great!

I dont know anything about bringing presents- although if i went to a engagement party i would take a present of some kind even if they didnt mention anything (even something small like a bottle of champagne for the couple). I hate opening gifts in front of everyone so if people do bring you something then i would just thank them and say you are going to open it later alone together (and then i guess i would just send a thank you out to them after the party? i dont know) hehe!

Its wierd- over here in the UK showers are not really that popular- i would love to have all these showers i hear you guys talking about with all the gifts and that hehe - only because i loveee buying gifts for people! hehe!!

ooh by the way...

this key lime pie you keep talking about.... it sounds strange ..

Lime ... pie?

...but interesting and yummy. I think i may need to find a recipe for it and have a go at making one!.. hehe!!
