Day 2 Part 1 No Sleeeeeeeping!!!
After crashing into bed last night at the POP we woke bright and early Im talking before the sun was up early. Since we were in Disney, and it was our first day I had no trouble waking up that day! It was one of those days were I was awake and waiting for the alarm to go off so I could have an excuse to get up and get going. Well I had set the alarm for 6:15 since Ana was scheduled to come for a makeup trial at 7. I figured quick showed, flat iron my hair, put on my dress and I would be ready (I also laid everything out the night before lol yup I was the kid who had her 1st day of school outfit ready to go the week before) so this was a piece of cake!
Well 6:15 rolled around and we met the bells I loathe the bells I despise the bells I missed my IPod alarm clock at home terribly. The bells were how we woke up each morning on this trip, and they got more and more annoying each passing day. They sounded like deep low church bells ringing all at once and really loud and the alarm also had a flashing light on the top of it, ya know, just in case the loud bells failed to do the job
Anyways, so after the bell incident we got a phone call now who could be calling this early come on you know who Stitch yelling No Sleeeeeeeping!! and then Mickey came on too and said something about Stitch escaping again and then Stitch told us to Get Moving! so we did.
Dave went and got breakfast while I waited for Ana, he did bring me back some breakfast potatoes and bacon though (whattaguy). So at 5 past 7 Ana arrived with a huge suitcase full of makeup, and got right to work. She asked me what kind of makeup I usually use and I showed her my basics and she came up with a make up plan for me. She used no foundation since I do not usually wear anything that heavy and used really light shimmery makeup on my face and cheeks. On my eyes she did a plum/lavender palette which really worked since I have hazel eyes. Also I did try the false lashes, I wasnt sure at first but once she put them on I felt like I was in a mascara commercial so I had to keep them! She them put the sealant coat on, so I was now sweat and tear proof (def going to need that on my wedding day!) and I was good to go.
I will say to those of you considering Ana, I thought she was well worth it. The look she gave me was very natural and I still looked like me in the end (just a prettier me lol) which was important to me. Ana was very easygoing and had some fun stories about her celeb clients too, which being a celeb magazine junkie I really appreciated! All in all I was glad I did the trial and feel really good about having her do the wedding makeup.
So after Ana left it was 8am (time to head to Epcot!) so we headed to the bus and it was right there, awesome! So we hop on and take to 10 min ride to Epcot. Now at this point I have no clue how to get to the International Gateway without going through the park, which wasnt open yet. Also we still had to activate our APs! So I head to guest relations, activate the APs and ask where to go. The CM at the desk calls the turnstile crew and they let us right in and tell us where to go. Now we still had about 15-20 minutes before our 8:45 shoot at World Showcase so we stroll through Epcot (without anybody else around!) and I snap a few pictures of the scenery from the Flower and Garden Festival.
Check out the lack of people around us.... pretty cool!
A kind CM took our pic here, gotta love Fantasia!
Yup we are now on the other side of the rope drop area...
This event is very pretty to see, all the topiaries are great and the whole place just looks so beautiful! I loved the Lion King display at the entrance to World Showcase, it was so detailed and intricate. I had no idea that many colors could be used. (Dave liked it too apparently...)
Now without Dave holding Simba...
Timon and Pumba!!! (as flowers of course)
Dave and I walk toward the International Gateway and I snap a few more pictures in Canada and UK before we get there too. My favorite is the one of me in the UK with absolutely no one else around, I will probably never get that type of picture again!
In the UK... all alone...
And Bambi, Thumper and Flower hanging in Canada
So right at 8:43am we make it to the IG (hows that for timing?) and see a photographer with a huge camera bag. I go up and ask if he is Dean, he shakes our hand, introduces himself and asks us
Dean: What countries do you want pictures in?
Me: Well UK and Morocco for sure, but whatever else you think is great too
Dean: Ok, well do them all.
Me: Jaw dropping, shock setting in, realizing I do not have to pick and choose THANK GOODNESS!!
Dean: Ok give me your backpack; I am going to carry it for you so we can keep on time
Me: Are you sure?
I honestly couldnt believe he was not only going to get us to every country but also carry our stuff I felt a little bad about it honestly but Dean would not let us touch the bag! He was a man on a mission, that mission being to make it around the world in an hour! So I release grip of my bag (even though Dave kept trying to carry it because he felt so bad too) and we were on our way.
I know I posted these before but here are the pictures from the countries we visited.
That is my update for now, I am working on part 2 for you all but this one is getting pretty lengthy so I will stop here and resume tonight. I promise you a new update today though!
Next up... Can we Possibly Save the World before Lunch??
