My middle son, the one who made staff today - called me when he got off work this afternoon - I thought to talk about that...................... NOPE - he and his wife are EXPECTING........................... YEP YEP YEP - I'm getting 2 grandbabies now!!!! YAY

I'm SO excited - this is wonderful!!!!! My oldest DS and DIL are due in Feb. and my middle DS and DIL are due in March or April --- I'm in "Mimi" overload right now...................... So ummmm yeah, anybody who has extra huggies I know where you can send them................... LOL

Great news for you! Congratulations! You must be so proud with two grandbabies!

We are leaving on Sunday for my son's HS graduation trip. We just arrived back in NJ at 4 AM Wed. after being stranded for 3 days with a broken-down car in SC coming back from Atlanta. And today my DH was let go from his job...

As far as things go, it is not the worst thing that has happened to our family. But we had been hoping he could hang on to the job 'til the end of the year. The trip is paid for, the November trip is paid for, and we have the first year's tuition set aside. At some point things WILL turn around for us!

Sorry just needed to vent...

That's awful, but I'm sure it will all work out. Enjoy your time together and I really hope your DH finds something soon.

That is me crying as I am not on the list anymore. I think our next trip will be April 2013

We are at kidani October 20th thru the 23. We have a 2 br since we are taking my niece and three great nephews. They are 8, 6 and 2 and have never been to disney. I don't know who is more excited them or me. I can't wait to see all their reactions to the animals and then of course the parks.
The two year old walks around saying mic mic, all the time now. lol. Does anyone have rooom suggestions for kidani 2 br ded. sav view? I want the kids to be able to see as many animals as possible.

I can't wait for a zebra dome. I can't believe in all the trips to disney, i've never had one.

Congrats on your booking!! I'd suggest requesting "2nd floor". That will put you closer to the animals. I was on the 5th floor and while the view was wonderful, I had to look down to see the animals. Guests who've stayed on 2nd and 3rd floor have said they looked out at the animals and it felt "closer". Hope that makes sense!!

Congrats on your booking! Second floor near the lobby is probably a good request. Then you won't have to walk too far for the buses.

I would call MS and make the request. There really isn't a good place with online check in for requests.

The show was pretty good,not one of my favorites, if it had been any other actor, I am sure we would have left half way through....

The show was ok, I was so tired, it was such a long day and then the show was not wonderful, so I was a little cranky by the time we got home, after midnight.....

Congrats on your trip!! You will LOVE Kidani - it's my favorite!!! I'll also say, request the 2nd floor, close to the lobby!!!

Scott had a phone interview w/my boss Looks like we may be working together again I'll never see him though, he'll keep HD part time he'll work 7 days a week...Hey, we need the money.

Beauty is doing well, she's sound asleep next to me right now..Which is nice she's usually all over the place which makes it difficult to site here.

Posted this elsewhere then realized I should have put it here!

I've never stayed AKL before, but was planning to soon! We just called and if we get an AP and book a Savannah view (not arusha) on the AP discount we will save $400 total on our 4 night vacation (including the price of tickets). We currently have a club level room booked, and I am wondering if it would be worth the $100/night to keep club level (and also not get an AP). We won't be back within the year, so the AP wouldn't be of use in that regard, but thought it might help with food discounts...I was excited about club level but not sure it's worth the $400 extra? Any advice? Will it give us a better view too?

Also, do AP rates ever become available for club level? Because maybe I should just keep calling back? Sorry, it's been years since we've been to WDW!

Just upgraded from POR to AKL with free dining in Oct.

Reserved a Savannah view but do not know what benefit getting an Arusha Rock Savannah view would give us.

Congrats on the upgrade! With an Arusha view you will see a good variety of animals (zebra, giraffe, ankole, roan antelope, red river hog).

I can't say with certainty, but with Arusha view you should be within walking distance of the lobby! (It's a LONG walk when your room is at the end of Kudu or Zebra trails! )
