Hi y'all!
I hope I can ask the AKL "experts" a question here....
I always wanted to stay here - I think it just looks beautiful and a unique experience!
I am planning a mother daughter trip for the beginning of October and I was wondering about bus service. We are the early risers/quick movers in the family - but DD LOVES the MK opening show. For early October - what time do we really need to be at the bus stop to make it on time? (regular 9 am opening)
Thanks! We have stayed on the monorail properties the last 2 times so we always made the show!

Well you know what they say, "when it rains, it pours". We got a call from my mil yesterday morning saying dh's grandma passed away. Now we are trying to figure out if he will get to go to the funeral. We still don't know if we are leaving for Disney in 9 days or not, i should know something more by the end of today.

Congrats! What a great resort you picked for a Mother/Daughter trip!

There are several of us who will be at WDW the beginning of October, a couple who will be at AKL/AKV.

I love the MK opening show too! Bus service from AKL is usually very good. The bus picks up at Kidani first, then Jambo House, then to MK. The ride is usually 15-20 minutes. When we've had early reservations at Cindy's or CP, we've gotten to the bus stop shortly after 7 and had no problems getting to the park in time for our 8:05 ADR.

How early do you want to get there?! If you're at the bus stop around 7:45-8:00, you shouldn't have any problem getting to MK in plenty of time for the show!

In fact I was thinking of getting there Sat afternoon and just hanging out/swimming enjoying the property, having dinner etc and then turning in early for a big day the next day.... sounds so gorgeous and relaxing after a long drive!

I think you'll be fine getting to the bus stop by 7:45. The buses run more frequently in the morning hours and often times, if you just missed an MK bus, another one comes along several minutes later!

There are so many activities for children. It's truly a vacation within a vacation!

Sorry I can't catch up on all the pages I missed Been pretty busy this week! Started new job on Monday, we're working 9-3 Mon-Thurs and 8-2 Fri this week, 1st week of training they like to go easy on us with the hours. But I've errands every night after work, and hanging with puppy, so I haven't been able to be online much.
So far so good, the training is intense like I thought it would be. Yesterday the manager/trainer , 1st thing out of his mouth is that we're not all going to make it There are 4 of us, sounds like his expectation is that 2 people usually make it...Well, I need to be one of them, I can't be unemployed again!

Almost time to walk Beauty, see you all when I can...Miss you all

First post here in the AKL Lite page. I'll be visiting for the first time Aug 28- September 3. Victoria and Albert s Queen Victoria Room, Brown Derby, Flying Fish, Via Napoli, Le Cellier, Raglan Road, Boma, Jiko, Yak & Yeti, and a few others reserved. I have always been at Pop Century with Quick Service dining but I decided to treat myself and my friend who has been taking care of her mother with terminal cancer.

So, first of all - got my epidural last thurs. - WOW - on friday I felt like superwoman - no pain, just a little sore - roaring to go - sat. flew out to hartford, drove to north haven.......... and thought I was gonna die....... talk about sore, stiff, in some, (not bad) but some pain and just totally wiped out - I was SO tired - ( I have YET to sleep a full night still - dr. said I'd not sleep from the steriod, but come on already) - Sun. still tired and sore - but, was more than ready for the wedding - it was amazing!!!!! They both looked so great - I cried - a LOT - youngest ds was the perfect ring bearer - lol (and tissue wingman for his big bro) lol - we had the BEST time, loved every second of it!!! AND we had LOBSTERS!!! whoot whoot - dh got a 10 lb. lobster - OMG, i've never seen anything like it before! they were so good though!!! - I thought of you Pilferk the whole time!!!

So, here is a pic of my handsome son and beautiful new daughter in law!!!

I am sorry that you are having such a hard time. I hope that the side effects wear off soon and that the treatment worked.
