Is there anything special they do on board the week before? We disembark Christmas Eve.
Would love to know about anything that I may need to know about to sign up for.

We sailed a couple weeks before Christmas 2014. The only holiday event I can remember we had to sign up for because of limited spaces was gingerbread house making (no charge). It was limited to one house per cabin. You had to eat or dispose of it before disembarking. It was delicious, and made the cabin smell great.

Agreed! The decorating was held in AP and the ship was really tossing and turning - and AP can get a bit rocky....the CM was explaining that the decorating was extra special because the ship was "doing us no favors"
Really enjoyable - although on my next Christmas cruise I intend to bring a few other candy decorations to supplement the ones they give...

Also, don't miss the "till we meet again" event on the last evening because it was Christmas themed with vintage costumes, caroling, and extra special holiday touches! Enjoy

Oh, I thought of one more thing - you'll get to see Belle in her Christmas dress - sometimes she was in yellow, sometimes in the red velvet...super special for those of us with princess obsessions...

Did it last Christmas. As soon as you board go strait to guest services and ask for the tickets to the gingerbread making and ask about anything else you need tickets for. They are free but since limited space you have to have an advance ticket. We missed out when we saw it in the navigator and tried on the second day to get the tickets, were told they we're one no day one.

We also disembark on Xmas Eve this year although it appears you might be on the Wonder and we are on the Dream. I've sailed on the Dream, Fantasy, and the Wonder in December so the ships are indeed magical with all the Xmas decorations but we've never been on so close to Xmas, especially going home on Xmas Eve but the prices were reasonable and we threw in a few nights at WDW with free dining.

I echo the others, sign up for the Gingerbread making (so much fun!) and my just absorb all the magic :) It's fun to look at all the xmas decorations on the trees and how they are "themed".
