Sailing the Skyliner: Life is the Bubbles on Spring Break - A March 2024 Trip Report

Great photos of Fantasmic. I didn’t realize they had changed the show. We haven’t been to it in years. I wasn’t crazy about it because it seemed to lack a storyline and was kind of scary. I was planning to ride MMRR during Fantasmic, but now I’m having second thoughts. My 5 year-old granddaughter doesn’t like sudden loud noises or evil characters that yell or are really mean. Do you think there are any scenes that might be frightening?
Those coffee cake cookies look soooo yummy!

Fantasmic has always been my favorite and I am so glad I got to see it in April. It was the first time I've been back since pre-shut down. But, I always sit about 3/4 of the way up to avoid getting wet. And pop corn is my go to snack for Fantasmic. Can't watch it without a big box of popcorn.

Fantasmic looks great! It was my pick for a night show if we wound up doing one. We wiped ourselves out too much to manage it this last trip, but maybe in another couple of years DD will be able to handle at least one late night!

I’ve also heard elsewhere that the Gideon’s cakes really need to be eaten fresh. That amount of frosting put both me and DH off from trying any and so far I haven’t read anything to make me/us regret that decision!

Not fun at all, especially in a park as large as Epcot! Hope you were able to recover your item that time.

I did get my item back, but it was a lot of extra steps.

but I might have forgotten to mention that to the rest of our group, and we grabbed seats in maybe the 4th or 5th row, right in the center of the theater. I thought that might be far enough to not get too wet, but I was wrong :rolleyes1 This was our amazing view:

I love this!

I’m really not known for saying no to ice cream.

Me either.

Around 8:20pm, 10 minutes before the show was about to start, a large group of kids sitting in the right side of the theater started the wave. It went all the way around and then the other side sent it back. And then it continued to go back and forth for probably a good 5+ minutes. It was an impressive wave! I found myself thinking, this is why I love Disney people. The crowd’s energy was great. At two minutes to show time, everyone had their cell phone flashlights out and waving.

I love the atmosphere here too. You also have lots of fans of the show that know all the parts and participate.

The last time we saw Fantasmic was in 2019. I think it was closed during our 2022 trip. I really loved this new version that highlighted more of the Disney princesses. This solidified Fantasmic as my favorite night-time show. Our view couldn’t have been any better!

When did you go in 2022? I know the show didn't open until October of 2022. Danielle came home for a visit and flew back just in time to make the first cast member preview. It's her favorite! She knows the show by heart. She knows the words and moves.

The only downside was that we got fairly wet.

I'm thinking that's not so back when you're there in the summer.

Steamboat Willie was the best! I love the last scene where he brings out all the Disney characters together. It’s the perfect finale.

This is my favorite part too.

Olaf was a really fun meet and ended up being DD9’s favorite meet.
Olaf is a lot of fun!
I think there was a line. I don’t remember exactly how long we waited, but we had our food about 27 minutes after we left Olaf. I was most excited to get the Plant-Based Totchos (“chili”, “cheese”, green onions, and corn chips served over potato barrels, $10.49).
Those sound good! Woody's has lot of great options but I always seem to want to have the grilled cheese!
Pat ordered the smoked turkey sandwich with a side of tomato soup ($10.79) and a Diet Coke to drink ($4.49). Neither he nor his mom were very hungry, so they split that.
That looks really good too. :)
Around 7:00pm my parents texted that they were heading to guest services at the front of the park for their card and asked where they should meet us afterwards. I said we’d head that way to meet them up there. I thought it would be a good opportunity to look for pin trading in the shops on the way to the front. We found one place to trade pins in a shop, and then my mom saw there was pin trading at guest services where they had picked up the credit card, so the girls traded pins there too. There was over an hour where I took no pictures, which is very unusual for me at Disney!
Pin trading at Sids (guest services building) is always great!
DD9 shared her Mickey bar with me, even offering a full ear! My mom got an ice cream sandwich and I took a few bites of hers too. I’m really not known for saying no to ice cream.
Ice cream is a food group!
Around 8:20pm, 10 minutes before the show was about to start, a large group of kids sitting in the right side of the theater started the wave. I found myself thinking, this is why I love Disney people. The crowd’s energy was great. At two minutes to show time, everyone had their cell phone flashlights out and waving.
So fun!
The show ended around 9:00pm. I suggested we sit awhile while the crowd cleared out. My memory of exiting this theater was standing for a long time while the line moved slowly. It was only day two, but my feet hurt already, and I wanted to limit standing time. We didn’t wait too long though, and we were ushered through a backstage exit area. The line did move slowly, and we made it back to the Skyliner at 9:21pm.
Waiting for the crowds to clear out is a good strategy.

We loved Fantasmic this past trip. We got a fine mist spray and we were at least half way up in the center.
It seems like you have to sit pretty far up to avoid getting wet at all!
The dreaded photo box pictures! Your pictures actually came out quite good with Olaf!
Thank you! I'm not a fan of them at all, but we did still get some nice pictures.
Fantasmic is my daughter’s favorite show. We watched it twice last trip. They also did the wave and chants both times we went. It’s such an amazing show.
That's so fun! The wave must be a tradition there.
Thank you! I'd recommend watching a video of the show in advance to decide if it would be too scary for your granddaughter. We took our kids when they were 3 and 5 and it was a little scary for them at parts, but not so scary they had nightmares or anything like that, we didn't regret taking them. There are villains and scary creatures though, in addition to Disney princesses and beautiful water and projection displays.
That's smart! It's a great show to grab a favorite snack and relax for awhile.

Fantasmic looks great! It was my pick for a night show if we wound up doing one. We wiped ourselves out too much to manage it this last trip, but maybe in another couple of years DD will be able to handle at least one late night!
If I only did one nighttime show it would be Fantasmic! Hope it works out on a future trip.
I’ve also heard elsewhere that the Gideon’s cakes really need to be eaten fresh. That amount of frosting put both me and DH off from trying any and so far I haven’t read anything to make me/us regret that decision!
I agree with this, we'll only get cake again if we have a large group to eat it quickly.
I did get my item back, but it was a lot of extra steps.
That is frustrating when you already take so many steps in a day, but glad you got it back!
I love the atmosphere here too. You also have lots of fans of the show that know all the parts and participate.
That is so fun! I sometimes think I should watch videos of it more often, but I also like the shows being a bit of a surprise in person.
When did you go in 2022? I know the show didn't open until October of 2022. Danielle came home for a visit and flew back just in time to make the first cast member preview. It's her favorite! She knows the show by heart. She knows the words and moves.
June 2022, so it definitely would have been closed then.
I'm thinking that's not so back when you're there in the summer.
That's true! It wasn't terrible, just a little unpleasant with the heavy mist.
Those sound good! Woody's has lot of great options but I always seem to want to have the grilled cheese!
I always want the grilled cheese and tomato soup too, but the totchos win out.
Ice cream is a food group!
I agree! I always say I have a separate stomach just for ice cream.

Early Entry Rope Drop – Peter Pan & IASW

Our third park day was finally Magic Kingdom. For those following along, we had three early mornings before this (4:00am on our travel day, leaving around 7:00am for Epcot but I woke up at 4:30am, and leaving around 7:00am for Hollywood Studios). We agreed as a family that we would rally for one more early morning, with a plan to leave our rooms at 6:30am to utilize MK Early Entry at 7:30am. We were going to get to sleep in the next day.

I’m pretty sure I was up ahead of my alarm again, despite the lack of sleep over the past several days. I bought Genie+ for our family at 5:37am. It was $35 per person this day! I hesitated only briefly before purchasing it for our party of 7 for $260.96 with tax. I knew the higher price meant they were expecting higher crowds, and it would be even more worth it to skip some lines. I also looked at the crowd calendar from the day before and saw that HS had been a 10 (we felt it) and MK had been a 9, so I was expecting similar this day.

We left our room at 6:33am and were on a bus to MK by 6:41am. The bus was just not as good as the Skyliner, but at least we didn’t have to wait long for a bus. We pulled up to the park right before 7:00am and I stood off to the side briefly (with a few other people) to book our first LL. I got Jungle Cruise for 9:30am and was feeling pretty excited about that. I also got an ILL for me, Pat and his mom for Tron at 2:10pm, which I thought would work out well for us.

We kept walking right after that and were quick through security. We were in the park at 7:05am. That first glimpse of the castle is always so exciting! It was still dark out so Main Street was lit up like it is at nighttime.

Main Street.jpg

Our plan was to rope drop Peter Pan. I knew we should be heading straight to the rope drop line, but I really wanted to get a few castle pictures before the day got away from us, so we stopped for a PhotoPass photographer who didn’t have a line.

Main Street2.jpg

Main Street5.jpg

We made it to the Fantasyland rope drop at 7:14am. There was a decent size crowd already ahead of us.

Rope Drop1.jpg

But an even longer line had formed behind us. This was taken at 7:30am, right before they dropped the rope.

Rope Drop2.jpg

As I hoped, more than half of the line was going for 7DMT. I wasn’t sure what to expect for a Peter Pan rope drop and the anticipation was exciting! It took a few minutes for the crowd to disperse a bit, and we tried to hold hands and keep track of each other. We made it to Peter Pan at 7:34am.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen the normal queue for Peter Pan before because we’ve always gotten a Fast Pass or LL. It was fun to see, but the line was moving too fast to really enjoy it (which was a good problem to have). My favorite part was our shadow on one of the walls as we walked by. We only waited 8 minutes (7:42am) and most of that was spent walking through the queue.

Peter Pan.jpg

When we got off, the posted time for Peter Pan’s Flight was 45 minutes! But Touring Plans said it was still only 16 minutes. I knew we were going to want to take advantage of the second rope drop to Adventureland or Liberty Square, but it was only 7:46am when we got off Peter Pan, so we decided to ride It’s a Small World rather than getting in another rope drop line right away.

We entered the IASW queue at 7:47am. The posted time was 5 minutes but we only waited 2 minutes before we were in a boat.

Ouch! I agree it was worth it to avoid long lines. I'm still salty that we even have to pay for something that use to be free.

It's been awhile since I have been able to get my crew to make rope drop. We use to do it every day of the trip. Danielle is not in no rush and she use to be my best one at rope dropping. Michelle is hopeless now that she has small kids. Catching the early bus really makes a difference. The later you're out waiting the longer it takes.

It's beautiful all lit up!

This is a great family photo. I love your shirts and the girls dresses.

You did good but boy was it crowded.

Even more crowded.

Peter Pan would be my 1st choice too. The queue is really fun when you're moving at just the right pace.

I really enjoy the queue for PPF. There are a lot of fun elements to explore.

IASW is pretty quiet first thing.

We missed both Olaf and Fantasmic on our trip - hopefully we get to do both of them next time! I love your Fantasmic pictures. :lovestruc

We did, however, eat at Woody’s Lunchbox (for breakfast) and tried both tarts. I loved my breakfast tots and the tarts were both really good!

Oof, three early mornings in a row is rough, especially with those super-early entry times. It’s impressive that you made it in such great time for Peter Pan and were able to enjoy IASW as well. I’ve only been in the regular queue for Peter Pan once but it is very neat!

Ouch! I agree it was worth it to avoid long lines. I'm still salty that we even have to pay for something that use to be free.
I am salty about that too! Especially dropping that much money for just one day of Genie+.
This is a great family photo. I love your shirts and the girls dresses.
Thank you! These were repeats of a prior trip :)
Wonderful family pictures!
Thank you!
I had hoped for Peter Pan at rope drop too but it was down all morning!
That is disappointing!

IASW & Haunted Mansion

We enjoyed the Happiest Cruise that Ever Sailed! I say it every time, but I notice new details on every cruise we take. IASW could get old for me at some point, but it hasn’t yet (it probably helps we only go every couple of years). I had to get a picture of Ireland with St. Patrick’s Day coming up.

IASW2.jpg

My pictures never come out very well on this ride, but here are just a few.

IAWS3.jpg
IASW4.jpg

I’ve always said the last room is my favorite and heard the girls saying the same on this ride.

IASW5.jpg

Grammas was the only one that got her name on a farewell sign as we were leaving. We had to wait a few minutes for the boats ahead of us to unload, and it was about 8:05am before we were off the ride. I knew we had missed true rope drop for the other lands, but hoped lines still wouldn’t be too long.

IASW6.jpg

Our group needed a restroom before moving on (happens a lot with a larger group!) so we stopped at the Tangled bathrooms.

Tangled Bathrooms.jpg

I originally had planned for us to rope drop Pirates, but Haunted Mansion was right there with a 13-minute stand-by posted (meaning it would likely be less than that), so that became our next ride.

HM1.jpg

I was a little sad to miss the queue, but not too sad, since we almost walked right into the stretching room!

HM2.jpg

We entered the line at 8:12am, were out of the stretching room at 8:19am and on the ride by 8:23am. I know it’s a terrible picture, but I was really excited to see the Hat Box Ghost on this ride, I wasn’t expecting that!

HM3.jpg

Haunted Mansion, Pirates & Jungle Cruise

As a side note, one of my favorite PhotoPass pictures ever is my hat box photo from a Halloween party in 2019, so I'm really excited a hatbox ghost now lives in WDW!

IMG_9798.JPG

I rode HM with DD7 who was a little nervous but had agreed in advance to ride with me. Early in the ride she said, “This house needs a makeover – a pink one!” I was so glad she was making light of the ride this time.

HM ride photos are some of the best ride photos. I much prefer the B&W versions to the color versions, they set the right vibe for this ride. Unfortunately, we were not able to get the picture of Pat and his Mom. I tried to get it at the end of the day and requested it when we got home, but it seems their camera was just not working properly.

HM4.jpgHM6.jpg

I knew we needed coffee soon after this ride, but also wanted to take advantage of the low morning crowds, so I suggested we head over to Pirates. It was posting a 15-minute wait, but we only waited 9 minutes.

DD7 did not really want to ride Pirates because of the drop at the beginning, but we watched the ride videos in advance, and she agreed she would ride it once with the rest of us. I knew we could do rider swap if she changed her mind, but also thought she would like the rest of the ride, so I was glad she agreed to go on it. She was very brave! Unfortunately, we did not get this ride photo either. I tried to request it at the end of the night, but they told me there was an 8-9 minute gap in photos and gave me a number to call to try to retrieve it. That number was not able to retrieve it either. I’m curious what DD7’s expression was as we approached the drop.

Pirates1.jpg

After Pirates, we went searching for coffee. We headed in the direction of Jungle Cruise, which was going to be our next ride (we could tap in at 9:25am for our 9:30am LL). We reached the entrance to Adventureland and still didn’t see any coffee. I asked a CM at the egg roll stand where the nearest coffee was, and she said that would be the Main Street Bakery. We didn’t want all those extra steps so we agreed we would go back for our Jungle Cruise ride and then head to Main Street for some caffeine.

There was a PhotoPass photographer with no line at the entrance to Adventureland, so we stopped for a few pictures of the girls. These were taken at 9:12am. They came out really cute!

Adventureland1.jpg
Adventureland2.jpg

We found a bench and I pulled out some breakfast bars to hold the crew over until we could get a real breakfast. We also used this opportunity to apply sunblock. It had been dark when we left our room, so I didn’t think about it until this time.

We walked over to Jungle Cruise to tap in right at 9:25am so I could take advantage of the early LL time to book another LL. The standby wait was 60 minutes but we only waited 4 minutes. We sat at the front of the boat.

Jungle Cruise1.jpg

We had a good ride with Skipper Gwen.

Our cruise continues in the next post!

I wish I could get away with only riding this every other trip. I do admit that I see something new each trip. I did enjoy pointing things out to grandson in December. He really loves details.

I’ve always said the last room is my favorite and heard the girls saying the same on this ride.

AWWWW!

Our group needed a restroom before moving on (happens a lot with a larger group!) so we stopped at the Tangled bathrooms.

These are my favorite bathrooms in MK. I'm amazed at how empty the area was.

So sorry about the missing HM and Pirates ride photos! But the PP photos of your girls are super-cute!

Very satisfying to be able to book another LL before the 2-hour post park opening limitation! I hope it signals the start of good LL luck. 😊

I have taken so many pictures on iasw over the years and have never been really happy with any of them. I think it’s because the boat ride is a little bumpy. There is certainly enough light! The white room has always been my favorite. I remember when my DD saw the hula girls the first time in that room too and got so excited. They were her favorite. I even bought her a collectible doll of one when they came out.
The only time I’ve gotten a good picture on HM was when the ride stopped!

I was surprised too! They are definitely the best bathrooms in MK.

Thank you! Yes, definitely very satisfying and helped us set a great path for LLs the rest of the day!

I think you're right, and you're always moving, even if slowly.

How cute!!
So did your daughter enjoy Pirates?
DD9 loved it but DD7 was not a fan. She chose to skip it later on in the trip when DD9 wanted to go again. I was just glad she rode it the first time with us all!

Real Life Update - Trip to Hawaii

I've been MIA on the boards because we took a trip to Hawaii! The week before and after vacation are always super long ones at work, but I'm hoping to get back into regular trip updates. I'll do a mini trip report in one post below, then back to Disney content!

We flew out of Chicago for this trip. After we found out good friends from Texas were going to be in Chicago at the same time, we decided to leave a day early so we could meet up with them for a day of fun in Chicago. That family has four kids, so there were six kids between us. We had a blast! We met up for breakfast at Yolk, went to Navy Pier (where we rode the giant Centennial Wheel - eek!), and let the kids play for a couple of hours at Maggie Daley Park. We ate an early dinner at Yardbird which had great food and was very accommodating to all the kids. It was so nice to catch up with friends!

Chicago.jpg

After dinner we met up with my parents at the hotel where we all were staying that night (the Hawaii trip was with my whole family). We had an 8:45am flight the next morning, so we left early to get to the airport. After one layover we landed in Kona (Big Island) around 3pm local time, which was 8pm for us. The girls did great on the long flights. We met up with my siblings who had already arrived and got settled into the timeshare where we were staying. We went grocery shopping that night, since we had a kitchen at the timeshare. I was shocked by the prices at the grocery store - the cheapest loaf of bread was $7!

I was up at 5:15am local time the next day, which wasn't too bad considering we were adjusting to a 5-hour time difference and that was 10:15am for our bodies. Our plans this day were to enjoy a beach. We went to Mauna Kea Beach which ended up being our favorite of the week. It was a beautiful white sand public beach, and we found a place to set up in the shade of some trees. The water was clear and perfect, and we had a sea turtle swim right up to us! I was a little nervous because he kept swimming toward DD9 (and you're supposed to keep distance, they are endangered species), but it was super cool to be swimming with a turtle.

That evening my siblings went to watch the sunset and see stars at Mauna Loa while my parents and our family went to dinner at Tropics Ale House. We also caught a local band in a shopping center after dinner.

Our next day was our Hilo day, we planned to drive to the other side of the island to check out attractions around Hilo. We started at Akaka Falls which ended up being one of my favorite things that day. It was a short hike (but with lots of stairs), about a half mile round trip, to see the Falls. They were impressive! You can't see it, but I'm wearing my Disney "Ohana means family" t-shirt.

Akaka Falls.jpg

After that we stopped by Honomu Goat Dairy, where there was free "goat therapy" and you could feed the goats for $1. We picked up some goat cheese and caramel treats. We stopped by the Liliuokalani Park and Gardens and then ate lunch at Ola Brew. We split up from my siblings after lunch - I think they did some hiking and swam in water near a waterfall. We went to the Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo & Gardens next, which is a free zoo. It was beautiful and we got to see a lot of interesting animals including tons of peacocks and peahens wandering around, a sloth who slothing (eating upside down), active monkeys and a white bengal tiger that we were able to get very close to.

Next we went to Rainbow Falls, which wasn't quite as impressive as Akaka Falls, but still really neat to see, with almost no hiking required.

Next we went to Boiling Pots Falls and met back up with my siblings. We drove back to the other side of the island (we were staying near Waikoloa) and ate Father's Day dinner at Foster's Kitchen. It was really good and we had a lake view while we ate outdoors.

We wanted to check out a Kona beach the next day. We rented an umbrella this time and went to Kamakahonu Beach. I should have done more research, as this was a small beach that was in a little cut-out area and there weren't waves coming in like on other beaches. It was still nice to swim and relax, and was actually good for the girls because of the lack of waves.

We ate lunch at Kai's with a beautiful ocean view. The food was amazing, this was our favorite restaurant all week (and we came back later in the week). After lunch we got Ululani's Shave Ice, which we agreed was the best shave ice all week. I don't like snow cones, but loved this treat - pro tip is to get it with ice cream underneath (I got coconut) and to add the "sno cap" or condensed milk on top.

When we got back to our timeshare, we swam and I hung out in the hot tub for awhile. We grilled out that night.

Our next day was a long day at Volcanoes National Park. It was amazing! I had been once before, while pregnant with DD7, so I didn't get to hike or experience as much that time. We started at the visitor's center and hiked the Halema'uma'u Steam Bluff and Sulfur Banks trail (1.4 miles). It was a little stinky at times but really neat to see all the steam rising out of the ground.

We then went to the Kilauea Overlook.

The crater behind us was a lava lake when we were last at the park in 2016, and we viewed it from about a mile away that time. There was an eruption here in 2018 and the crater collapsed further at that time. We could see where the road fell into the crater. A ranger told us the most recent eruption was about 1.5-2 miles from here. It was amazing to see the changes in only 8 years!

It was about noon, and we were all hungry, so we went to the Kipukapuaulu Picnic Area to eat the lunches we had packed. We didn't realize we had to leave VNP to get there, and it was super quiet with only one other family there when we arrived. There was only one picnic table in the shade and two in the sun. It was a peaceful spot for a picnic.

As we were driving back, we stopped to look at some tree molds that were created from lava.

Up next we split up again. My siblings planned to hike the entire Kilauea Iki Train (~3.2 miles up and down a caldera) while the rest of us were planning to only do a portion of the trail. My parents dropped us at the Thurston Lava Tube while they looked for parking. It is super cool to walk through a lava tube!

The girls wanted to do that short hike again, so my parents took them to do that when we met up, while Pat and I hiked part of the Kilauea Iki Trail. I really wanted to go down into the giant caldera, the site of a giant eruption (with fountains reaching almost 2,000 feet) in 1959. I had no idea how challenging this hike was going to be. It probably took us about 20 minutes going down and about 30 minutes coming back up. But it was so worth it!

We met back up with my parents and the girls after this. We hiked a small portion of the Devastation trailhead, then went to the Kealakoma Overlook. Our next stop was the Pu'uloa Petroglphys. While it said this hike was 1.5 miles round trip, it felt much longer! It was a tough hike over uneven lava rock. Only a few of us made it to the very end to see the petroglyphs, including DD9. They were super cool, with 23,000 petroglyphs at that site. We met up with my siblings while on this trail.

We ended our day at the Holei Sea Arch, which only me, my siblings and DD9 chose to hike to. It was less than a half mile round-trip but most of our party was exhausted by this point. I was really glad we got to see it! The arch is carved out behind us, might be hard to see in this picture.

The next morning we went searching for sea turtles at Honoka'ope Bay but did not see any. My family had already experienced too much sun, so we didn't stay long or bring bathing suits. That afternoon we all went to Mountain Thunder Coffee Plantation (which I was accused of "Disney-fying" by continuing to call it Thunder Mountain). We had been there on our last trip and their coffee is amazing. They have a free short tour and then we paid a small fee to wander their grounds and see some lava tubes, coffee trees and other plants they were growing.

After the coffee tour we went to Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park, which is a super cool "museum" on a beach.

We saw spinner dolphins while on this beach! I had never seen anything like that in the wild before, dolphins jumping out of the water and spinning around. It looked like they were feeding near the beach and then they headed back out to the ocean.

We ate dinner at Krua Thai (amazing!) and then had Scandinavian Shave Ice. It was not nearly as good as Ululani's but we still enjoyed it.

The next day, half of us went to Hapuna Beach. It's a state park so we had to pay for parking and entry, unlike some of the free beaches we had gone to. We found a little shade and set up. There were more spinner dolphins in the distance here. I read my book while (Swan Song, Elin Hilderbrand's last Nantucket novel). There were a lot of roosters in the area, including one guy who kept coming up to our beach blanket, probably begging for food.

Afterwards, my parents and our family went to Island Hopper Taproom. They had taster sizes of beers so Pat and I shared a couple. Then it was back to the pool and hot tub to relax awhile.

For our final day, my parents and our family were flying out around 7:30pm, one sister flying out at 9:30pm, and the other sibling flying out early in the morning. We had to be out of our timeshare by noon (which was the latest check-out they could give us) and we were going to have to drop our rental cars by 4pm. We went back to Kona to eat at Kai's again.

The food and views were just perfect. We did not want to leave Hawaii at this point! After lunch we went to Kaloko-Honokoha National Historical Park to look for sea turtles again. We were on a mission! I had looked at our last trip from 2016 and found pictures that showed we saw turtles at that park, so we thought we would try. My sister went ahead of us and confirmed she saw a few. We had to take our shoes off and wade through water to get to them, but sure enough, we saw 4-5 hanging out. It wasn't ideal to get sand all over our shoes right before flying, but it was a great way to wrap up our trip.

We had one more goal before we left - we wanted more Ululani's! We were short on time but got our shave ice and then headed to the airport. It was a wonderful trip!
