Sad news about my Lab, Hunter...SAD UPDATE PG 2

We're back from the vet. It is with a heavy heart I am sad to report the vet is almost 100% certain it's cancer. He took 2 fine needle aspirations (sp) to be biopsied. We'll have the results in about 5 days. We go back to the vet June 7th. We will have him put down at that time and cremated. He sent us home with pain meds. As if that wasn't bad enough Hunter did tear the other leg ligament. (Probaby within the last 2 weeks). That's when I noticed the limping.

So sorry to hear that the vet report was not better. Take lots of pictures, feed him his favorite foods and remember all the good times you
have had together. No matter how old pets are when they leave us, it

Awww, I am so sorry you are all going through this. Our dog will turn 13 next month and I know it's just a matter of time. I can't even bear to think about it. I totally know how you must feel.

I am so sorry about Hunter. Love him as much as you possibly can for the time you have left. Don't mourn him while he is still with you (he will pick up on it). My heart goes out to you and Hunter.

I know what it is like. I lost a GSD to bladder cancer (within 2 week from dx to death). I lost another to liver disease and a foster to osteosarcoma.

I watch my grandkids on Tuesday evenings. Saturday, when I went over to oldest DS & DDIL's house, I told them to bring the new puppy over Tuesday when they brought the grandkids.

After getting the sad news about Hunter earlier in the afternoon I wasn't sure how I was going to feel tonight. The new pup was like a breath of fresh air. After all the gloom & doom I've been living with since finding the lumps, the new pup perked my spirits up a bit.

So I will try to be grateful for the time I have left with Hunter and try to stay strong for him when the time comes.
