I'm going to go against the grain here and say I'll be the first on the flight if this comes to pass.
I know people are quoting cheap alternative prices with Virgin etc but let's face it those prices are so rare. If Ryanair can give competitive prices for summer time I'll be thrilled. I'd gladly take a bit of discomfort for the long flight and have more spending money (or just simply be able to go in the first place)! If they truly offer translatlantic flights for 10 or 20 pounds or anywhere under 100 I can't imagine the extras (check in charges, luggage charges, taxes) bringing the price up to the same as other airlines. For those of us in Ireland, Ryanair can't possibly be worse than Aer Lingus. I hate them - worst flight I ever had was Aer Lingus - Shannon to New York. We've flown with Ryanair loads of times now and whilst it's basic, it's fine. Bring it on....
