We are planning on driving a RV down to Port/Cape Canaveral the night before we leave. Can anyone tell me where a good place (or anyplace for that matter!) to stay is? :scratchin And I was told that DCL has a parking lot across from the Port for those passengers driving in and that it is $10/day (probably $20 for RV). Can anyone tell me if this is true? Twenty dollars/day sounds like a lot, but it is cheaper than staying in a hotel for 2 nights (night before cruise & night returning from cruise). Any others suggestions? Thanks for all your help ahead of time!

Parking at the terminal is $20/day for vehicles over 20 feet. Here is the info from the Port Canaveral website.....

"Cruise Terminal Parking
Parking at Port Canaveral's Cruise Terminals is paved, gated, and under 24-hour surveillance. Parking fee is $10.00 per day for vehicles up to 20 feet in length and $20.00 per day for vehicles over 20 feet. The total amount for the time the vehicle is to be parked must be paid in full upon entering the parking area. Visa, MasterCard, Traveler's Checks issued in U.S. dollars and cash are accepted. All fees stated above are subject to change without notice by Canaveral Port Authority. Limited free parking is available in "Daytime Only" parking lots at each Cruise Terminal for persons having business at the Terminal or aboard the Cruise Ship only during the hours the ship is docked at the Terminal. No overnight parking is permitted in "Daytime Only" parking lots without permission from Canaveral Port Authority.
Parking for SunCruz Casino Lines SunCruz XII is free and located in The Cove near the bulkhead next to Rusty's."

Yes, $20/night is a lot, but I would pay it for the peace of mind. No hotel parking lot will be as secure as the lot at the cruise terminal.

If I understand your question right, are you looking for an RV park for the night before the cruise? If so you may want to do an internet search for Jetty Park. It is about 2 minutes from the port and actually is right on the ocean where the cruise ship enter and leave port.

Thanks SO much!!!:jumping1: NJHOO have you ever stayed at this park? If so can we park there? (Not that I think we would because of having to get to the boat w/ all our luggage & afraid to leave RV unattended!)

TinaRN,

Since my dad lives about 1/2 from there we didn't need to stay overnight. Over the past 25 years there have been quite a few day trips there though. We found the facilities to be clean. You may want to check out a web site for the port authority for cruise parking for RVs the lot will most likely be secure and well worth the price vs. leaving it in the park while you are on the cruise. That way you'll have piece on mind while on your vacation.
