Actually, reports are that the DA in 2004 rejected a deal from Limbaugh's lawyer much like the one that was ageed to last week by both sides. In the rejection, the DA claimed it held enough evidence to charge Limbaugh with up to 10 felonies, including money laundering, and might do so. The DA also made a literal Federal case out of trying get Limbaugh's medical records. This doesn't sound like the sort of prosecutorial effort that most first-time abusers get in your state if what you say is correct.Sorry, I live in Florida and I know how the law works in this state. Rush got the benefit of "drug court" and that is a good thing for a first time offender. The objective in Florida is to rehabilitate first time drug offenders, rather than to make them criminals.
