I have been running (well running/walking) with my iphone in a waist belt. I hate the waist belt it moves around to much, so I'm going to get something else for my phone. Figured I would ask you guys what you use.

Also which running app do you use? Have you tried any of the others? I have been using runkeeper was thinking of getting the pro version but figured before I did that I would see what every one else is using. Before I started running with my iphone, I was using mapmyrun to record my runs when I got home, at the time I could only find their paid app. I know they have a free one but not sure it is worth the switch from runkeeper.

Sorry no answer for you -- subscribing to hear what others say because I run with my iphone too. :goodvibes

Good luck with your training! princess:

Hi, ljcrochet.

I use a SPIbelt. It is pretty awesome. On the rare occasion that it bounces, I just move it more towards my hip, and that seems to fix it.

I use MapMyRun (the paid version) and love it. I used to use the free version, and loved that, as well.

I use spibelt as well. It fits perfectly. I dont really use it for music or apps, more just if I'm going on a really long run just incase.

I also have a Spibelt and recommend it. I tried to put both my iPhone and camera in it for when I did the WDW Half this year, and that was too much for it, it bounced so much. But for just one or the other, it works great.

I used to use Runkeeper but it's inaccuracy got to me. I gave in a bought a Garmin (205) and I am so glad I did.

I always run with my iphone for the music and my favorite app.

I use RunKeeper - at first I was just using the free version but upgraded to the Pro so I could set up my training with the voice commands. It can be a little buggy but the developers seem to take it very seriously and are consistantly trying to fix things. I was having an issue so I went on their Facebook wall and got an immediate response.

I also like the website. I can go in and add in things if I do a workout without it. And if the GPS is off I can fix it manually.

I have a waist band and an arm band to carry it. I got the waist one which also holds a water bottle from Target. I do not carry the water bottle in it though, too much. If I wear it high and tight it won't move around.

I have been through 2 different arm bands I bought off of ebay. And they seem to work fine.

I prefer the waist band for long runs though, the arm one starts to bother me if I have it one more than 30 minutes.

I use an ipod arm band. The phone fits fine and it doesn't bother me at all when running. I can't have anything around my waist when I run. I use Trainer Lite to track my miles.

I just hold my iphone. I use my nike+ app, DH uses runkeeper.
I have not had any issues holding it because I like to look at my run data constantly. I have used it for runs up to 7.5 miles so far.

I have the belt with ipod holder and water bottle from target, but I don't like it. Cannot carry things on my waist-makes my back hurt later.

I have used an armband with my iPhone. I believe mine was actually for an earlier generation ipod but it works great! The only issue I have is that I have big arms and the arm band is tight but it does work and the vlecro hold great! I got it at Wal-mart!

I have the original so it doesn't have the GPS ability that other phones have :-( I basically use it just for the music!

I carry mine LOL! I know I know.
if I wear a fuel belt I put it in there though.
I used runkeeper before I got my garmin watch. good luck!

This reminds me of when I realized I had to STOP just holding mine. I was on a run one day, saw a neighbor and reached up to wave, and I flung my iPhone right out of my hand onto the street. lol I had a good, cushy case on it so it bounced and was fine. I jokingly blamed it on my neighbor and he jokingly blamed it on himself, it was funny. :) But yeah, after that I got my Spibelt.

I use tuneband:

I love it. I have small arms and had tried to a few armbands from local stores and they didn't adjust small enough for my arm. This is perfect. Very stable and secure.

It would also adjust to fit a large arm. The soft velcro stuff goes all the way around the band.
