When my DH and I went up to NYC for our anniversary we went to WOD and Crumbs on your suggestion. We actually heard that they are closing that WOD location but that they are opening one some where else in NYC. I seem to remember in the Times Square area, but I could be wrong. Hopefully it is true that they are just changing locations in NYC, not closing entirely.

Also, depending on how close you are to Philly/how often you go in there is an AMAZING bakery there. While we loved crumbs, we think this place is better. It is called Brown Betty's. http://www.brownbettydesserts.com/ The one we go to is in Northern Liberties (around 2nd and Girard). There is also one on 20th I think? Northern Liberties is a fun little area to hang out in. It is "up and coming." Nice bars, cute eateries, outside dining/shopping district. It's definitely a young people crowd. You should check it out. There is also an AWESOME bowling alley/bar called North Bar.

Tim cracked me up when he texted Bobby and asked him to help him from buying more pins.

He also told us we need to go with you guys next time and get a Crumbs cupcake and a dirty water dog which I have no problem with. Bobby is against the dirty water dog but I told him you HAVE to have one when you are in NYC!

Hey Lynn! Thanks for sharing the pics from NYC! That "Crumbs" bakery looks SO good haha we will definitley check that out next time we are up there!! I saw you said you were going to the shore soon--we are going Thursday .. My BF's birthday is tomorrow!!! were doing some stuff around here tomorrow.. worked perfect that it was both our days off *thank goodness*. Thursday we are going to Atlantic City... we aren't *big* into the casinos .. (esp. me now working at one ) but we do go for fun once in awhile..so we'll definitley hit up some slots when we are there.. but were going to walk the boardwalk.. enjoy the day go to the "Pier Shops" the neat mall they have on the pier.. and also do some mini-golfing haha.. CANT WAIT! We've been DYING to go to the shore!! Its like we live so close.. but yet hardly get to go! We also love Long Beach Island.. its nice because it doesn't have a boardwalk.. so if you want to go just for the beach.. hit up the lighthouse which is good excerise to walk all those stairs LOL and go to "Bay Village" where they have some shops along the bay along with a small amusement area called "Fantasy Island" ..

Wow its only 7:43am. haha this day better get moving.. I work 7am-3pm and its dead right now.. well heck I be sleeping if it wasn't for work.. I hope thats what everyone else is doing.. I walk into work today and across the casino floor and I cant believe how many people are out playing slots at 6:45am!! Our resort is still under construction so its not like we have our hotel yet for people to walk outta their room and down to the floor.. just looking at them made me tired and want to go back into bed!!

PS oh yeah! I wanted to ask you.. did you get an email from Disney mentioning an extension about the free dining plan.. its weird my boyfriend got it but i didnt! It said "Free Dining" and below said.. 10/29/09-11/23/09 or something like that .. im like OMG!? we have to check into that because that would be a GREAT help to our vaca!

Yayy! An update! I too will never get to the WOD store in NY. Ya know I was dealing with that, and then I saw your pics of the HM stuff...
I love HM, it's the one ride that I just have to go on... and more than once... or my trip to WDW just ain't right! Last time I went down, my DDs were too young/afraid to try it and I had to wait for evening EMH, to sneek back and ride it while they were sleeping! This time, they're old enough and can't wait to see it! I'm so excited!

Lynn! I love your NYC pics! Looks so fun! I hope to make it up there someday...but your crumbs pictures reminded me of something I just found out that I had to share. Apparently there is a Crumbs-esque bakery in my little part of the country in a college town. I hear its quite popular but this is a college town with a reputation for being "hippie" and "weird" (no offense to anyone, just stating facts of their rep) and this place called Tee and Cakes has some normal flavors (triple chocolate, red velvet, etc.) and then some more eccentric but yummy sounding ones (cookies and cream, banana fudge) but then they also have ones such as strawberry milkshake, chocolate bacon, coca cola and...beer. Lynn, LOVED your NYC pics. I am so jealous! We are going to make it up there some time during Thanksgiving (and my son's bday at the same time) in the next year or so.
