I cant believe we are still at this waiting game. I wish I had a trip planned. Hope everyone is doing ok.

Well, last Spring while I was waiting to book it for a trip in April, I was absolutely mentally affected - depressed, angry, and obsessed. But when they finally officially said it would not open in time for our trip, I was able to let go, and we had a great time. I knew I was planning a trip for the fall, and would be able to see it then, after the crowds had maybe let up a bit.

Now, 7 months later, here we are again. Still waiting. This time around, I'm ready for their shenanigans. I have a space for it, but if it doesn't work out, eh...so be it. What they really got me with this time around was the Star Wars Dessert Party and show...we REALLY REALLY REALLY were looking forward to that one, and when they happily announced the JBJM replacement, I was wild. How could they be so cavalier about tearing that away from us after last Spring's fiasco.

I can now say, that while I'm really NOT happy about it, I have come to terms with the HS replacement. My best-Disney-buddy, Nancy, even talked me into booking it for our upcoming trip.

If ROL comes out in time for us, that will be great, and I'll try to get FPs for it, but...my obsession with this thing is done.

Take that, Disney!

Interesting how they confidently announce the new Castle Show Projection ... in short notice, how they confidently announce new Christmas DHS projection show AND dessert party ... in short notice, how they confidently announce a multitude of Holiday offerings at Disney Springs including the Tree Trail and so much more ... in short notice.

But they can't announce an opening of Rumors of Light which so many proclaim will open in just a couple weeks ............... something they have been working on for what .. 6 mos PAST it's supposed opening date. I guess I just don't get why something they touted to be THE SHOW like no other to see and they are going to just slide it in to the schedule one day ............ makes no sense to me. Unless it really is like JBA.......

If it is ready ANNOUNCE it, if it's not then just say spring and stop all this rumoring and aggravation.

All I can say that while AK was one of my favorite parks ........... I'm heading to WDW tomorrow and I will not be visiting AK.

We let ourselves get aggravated by rumoring. With RoL it was understandable initially given the debacle, but NOW? After all of this, there is no way I'm putting an ounce of energy into any RoL rumors. Zilch. And I'm happier for it!

I'll do what I typically do... pay some attention to rumors, maybe leave some flexibility in our touring schedule, and then wait for an actual announcement... which these days I expect with little notice. Up to me if I want to bother building in that flexibility and paying attention at all to rumors.

ETA: I always mean to add in these things that we are lucky enough to go 2-3 times a year most years. We can often just catch something next time. I'd most likely be more frustrated if this wasn't the case. But for our situation, I'm just over it -- over stressing about having to see any one offering. See what Disney's done to me?!?!

I stand by one of my posts a few months back: Arroyos of Dark, Streams of Shade, and Brooks of Gloom are all excellent new naming options for ROL. Streams of Shade in particular as we could then call it SOS and that would be fitting after months of distress.

Hi all! Back in the spring I was planning a summer trip and read every post everyday, just returning to catch up so I apologize if this question has already been answered. We just booked a spur of the moment trip in January and my FP window is quickly approaching. As I plan, it would help me if I knew what the show times would be for ROL if it's up and running. Any ideas on show times the first week of January? Thanks in advance for the help!

This was said on the JBJB thread, but Disney opened up 11/17 times for the Dessert Party. It started out as a block-out date. So, if these rumors about ROL are true, this works great! We had Sunday 11/20 Dessert Party plans but that night would have been the only night where ROL and AK, at night, would have made sense in our plans. Early on in the trip would work, but, if it doesn't fully open until the 18th, that doesn't help. As we are there 11/15-11/23. This fixed our issue!!! Assuming, of course, AK actually does host ROL on 11/20.

Totally But I think my ROL family could help me. I don't need to worry about ROL since my next trip isn't till Sept. of next year. As you see my countdown ticker is broken. I've used the DiS tickers before and never had a problem. Now every format I highlight is broken. I've tried posting to the technical forums for help and so far no one has responded. Could someone point me in the right direction or pm me.

I just wanted to mention that yes there is a rumor of a soft opening tonight however that is by no means a guarantee. Soft opens can change literally a minute before they are expected to happen. So if one doesn't happen don't be surprised. That also doesn't mean that this won't be opening soon.

I never even thought about wind being a determining factor... Last night at MK was very breezy, not complaining. Today is still.
