Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

So, right now my AK day has a 6:00 closing. Why is it you can book TH to 6:30. Is it normal to have a reservation after closing time?
 
I just talked to a Cast Member on the phone line. She said that they received official word on Monday that the April 22nd date is now pushed back to an unknown launch.
 
ugh. This blows. What on earth technical problem did they run into that just came up? So frustrated:(

I'm just not sure how much I believe this....why would Disney make an officially date, place information on the website if they were going to push it back....idk

If that is true, it would be a crushing blow but would make finalizing my trip that much easier... It would make so many midnight nights and 6am mornings worth absolutely nothing, but at least I've had the pleasure of all of your company!

They just announced the date about 10 days ago
I find it extremely hard to belive that something has gone so wrong in such a short time period
I think some CM are seeing the announcement that the dining packages on preview party booking date is postponed and interpreting it that the entire thing is postponed

Of course anything is possible I just think it's unlikely they would announce the debut on March 2nd of they weren't certain of it. If it was that far from completion they had to have known last week
 
I believe I spoke to her. I asked about Rivers of Light and she goes "you mean Fantasmic?" I said no, Rivers of Light at Animal Kingdom and she said, no! Fantasmic." I explained to her the new night show at animal Kingdom. She said she didn't know about that show, just to read the blog.
 
I love Maggie. She is going to have mythical status. I only hope I can be lucky enough to speak with her one day :)

It's all fun and games until ROL information is released and she's the one to answer your call, and you lose out on booking the place/time you want because she has no idea what we're talking about or what's going on in the parks.:rotfl2: :badpc:

Exactly. They wouldn't keep using that date if it was postponed. They'd just avoid giving a date at all
Exactly. One cast member here or there really isn't official information. If WDW is going to make a big official announcement about a change, they knows how to do that.
I appreciate everyone sharing what they hear today, tomorrow and so on until it's actually open. One of these days we will get some consistency...I hope!
 
I work at a call center in a performance arts center and we have a meeting every morning before we start to go over new information. We also have screens that give us all the information, discounts about a particular show. They have a big board up with dates of when shows go one sale etc. They don't do this at Disney's call center? They have to have something so everyone gets the same info.

If it's go time and my cm introduces herself as Maggie it will, unfortunately, be an immediate hang up and redial.
 
They probably couldn't decide on the colors for those amazing Shaman costumes....

I don't know how they do it, but occasionally I will get someone who is absolutely clueless. Shockingly clueless, and that is especially bad when booking special events. At that point, I have to make a judgment call...Sometimes after waiting a very long time on hold. Do I carefully/nicely walk them through what I'm trying to reserve, or do I opt to call back later because I just heard my doorbell ring:rolleyes1?
