Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

At the barber shop in the MK - it is free! I heard about it from some one else and now it is a must do for us.

do you just walk into the barber shop and ask to be "dusted?" Might be a fun thing for the four of us crazy women doing our trip in

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:25 days!!!!:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
In case they are busy at the Barber Shop, or you find yourself in the park, or what a refresher, at Castle Couture they'll use the same wand as they use in BBB. It is fun and I always get some myself

....standing ovation from this Rivers of Light Lounger to @KMWoolley! Perhaps due to the good-humored diligence within the blog comments, deserving of an Achievement Award for Hootenanny Excellence!
:laughing::thumbsup2

I was having a bummer of a day, and then I read his blog comments.... hootenanny hilarity turned it around! Thanks RoL Loungers! :)

Off topic - opinion on CRT. My DD is 5 and HATES having her hair done so we will not be doing BBB. It really would be an epic disaster. Instead, I plan to bring a tiara and dress her up in a short fancy dress sometime before our dinner at CRT. Our MK days are long and I don't want her to be hot and uncomfortable. I had seen months ago that there was an engravable glass slipper you could order and have delivered at the table. It seems that has been changed into some super pricey packages including a bunch of other things like a tiara and princess sash. Can you still do the slipper only or would it be better to go to the Arribas store and get one there (I see that there's a small one)? I guess what I'm asking is do parents typically splurge on these extras at CRT?

I've been watching this thread for quite a while, but I had finally had to create an account to comment. I appreciate how good natured everyone has been and the blog comments are hilarious! I added 1900 Park Fare to our trip after reading all of your comments, so thank you all for your advice!

:welcome: Glad you're joining in! Planning stress brings us together! :grouphug: We've never done 1900 Park Fare, but this thread has me wanting to do it too!

Everything's ready to go for our end of April trip....except the day we had planned to go to DAK. Giving this until the end of the week, and then switching to a day at Uni. Not going to take risk that DAK isn't open after 6 at end of month.

Sadly, think I need a break from WDW for a while....

It "should" be going when we arrive but I'm even questioning whether to switch a day or two of our 7 day trip to Universal now. Of course, then I look up pricing for hotel+tickets and think that 7 days of WDW isn't so bad.

We've done the glass slipper. As far as I know it's available stand alone or in a package. It was when we did it.
For the record, it's the same exact glass slipper (as far as I know they get them from the same place) that is sold in the kiosk in Germany. Same place sells tiara's too.
They also have a chocolate slipper dessert.
There's a special event email. I'd just email them and ask what they have now.

When we did CRT last year I was able to get the tiara without purchasing the rest of the package. At the time (almost exactly a year ago), the slipper was also offered separately for $65 plus tax and gratuity - but you'll want to check with WDW.CRT.Special.Events@disney.com for the latest prices (you e-mail them directly to add the package or individual item(s) to your CRT reservation).

Oh my goodness FloatingBear, I think you'd have a hoot with the Mad Hatter. He's incredibly funny, and so boisterous that you'll hear the his comedy several tables away. It's Breakfast AND a show!

No, as we all know, they are tight lipped with soft openings. When New Fantasy Land in MK opened there was no announcement regarding soft openings. Just folks in the area at the time they wanted to test were asked to participate. There was no way to plan to do it. I don't imagine the new Frozen attractions to be different.
They did have an AP holders preview before opening the New Fantasyland to the public. What a nice perk!
