Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Makes sense. I'm not changing hotels, but changing rooms since originally we were departing on 4/22. At this point, I'm all over the place. We were going to go to MK extra magic for a couple of hours, then unbeknownst to DH, I have scheduled an unsanctioned Ohana late breakfast since my DD was sad we were skipping it this year, then back to the hotel to hang at the pool until we go into AK. Not sure how I'll squeeze in moving rooms if we go to MK early (that was our plan originally when we were leaving Friday night). If we can't get anything reserved, I'd probably just eat by the pool before we go in.

The person I spoke with this morning (and I take everything they say with a grain of salt..) told me it would probably be able to book online just like the Fantasmic packages.

I'm more concerned about the preview stuff, for whatever reason I just assumed that wouldn't be online but he said he thought it would be.

He also asked me what month I wanted the preview package for, so..

So the info from the Hub makes it sound like the only difference on the night safari will be that it goes on longer, and that there is this 'eternal sunset' lighting. I thought there was going to be more to it than that, although now I say that, I don't know why I thought that.

This may have already been posted somewhere in the 178 pages of this thread...They apparently installed huge LED screens for the night Safari:

As in April or May? Is the rumor that they might do previews into May? Sorry I've been trying to follow here, but you guys are page-adding machines. I swear I've been feeling like Disney is making planning April hard, but they keep managing to top themselves.

I thought that too! HA HA HA well, she obviously hasn't tried getting a preview, FP+ or dining package reservation, has she....or I think she'd be coming here to commiserate! We definitely talk about important things, like cocktails, kids, new babies, pets, spouses...all the typical stuff people who are frustrated talk about when they can't get their information! LOL

I can't say for sure, but I think that @Vernie822 was making a joke that the CM didn't know what month the preview parties would be, but since it's supposed to debut on 4/22, the previews would be in April. And those are the rumors we've heard - some variation on the days but generally that the previews would be the week prior to the 4/22 debut. I've only heard about previews for April, not May. I think Vernie822 was trying to determine if the April preview events would be available online (like a dining package), or just via calling in to Disney Dining - correct me if I'm wrong! Since they haven't even updated park hours yet, tough to know anything...

But again, anything is rumor and/or conjecture at this point (I feel that I must add that disclaimer!)

Al little off topic but you guys seem to have the latest info. While we're on the subject of Disney events that aren't going to happen anytime soon, does anyone know for sure that FEA isn't going to happen in May? I have an Akershus that I know someone would lows to have but I'm currently hanging on with the slimmest of hope that it's going to open around the first of May.

There's nothing to understand, correctly or not. No one knows a thing about the dining packages. We strongly suspect there will be dining packages, but at this point, who knows?
