Al little off topic but you guys seem to have the latest info. While we're on the subject of Disney events that aren't going to happen anytime soon, does anyone know for sure that FEA isn't going to happen in May? I have an Akershus that I know someone would lows to have but I'm currently hanging on with the slimmest of hope that it's going to open around the first of May.

No one knows for certain.

Ha! Well, not to digress into non-topic territory, but we "agreed" to cut back on sit-down meals this trip. However, nothing was in writing so I do not feel that the agreement is binding. My current strategy is to squirrel away $ and then present my add-ons (Star Wars dessert party, Ohana - he already knows I'm trying for ROL preview) when I can fund them!

So the info from the Hub makes it sound like the only difference on the night safari will be that it goes on longer, and that there is this 'eternal sunset' lighting. I thought there was going to be more to it than that, although now I say that, I don't know why I thought that.

That's about what I thought the differences were. By default, it will be different because the animal activities will be different at night vs. day

I can't say for sure, but I think that @Vernie822 was making a joke that the CM didn't know what month the preview parties would be, but since it's supposed to debut on 4/22, the previews would be in April. And those are the rumors we've heard - some variation on the days but generally that the previews would be the week prior to the 4/22 debut. I've only heard about previews for April, not May. I think Vernie822 was trying to determine if the April preview events would be available online (like a dining package), or just via calling in to Disney Dining - correct me if I'm wrong! Since they haven't even updated park hours yet, tough to know anything...

I think you're right. Previews are before the opening. So far WDW seems pretty set on April 22nd. The preview event or party might only be by phone or not...who knows. We don't even know if it's a go.
I would think the dining package would be handled just like Fantasmic.
JMO, I know nothing for certain. That's probably why I'm so good at discussing nothing.

Today I added to what I'm officially watching for.
I did have just our April trip, which is my Mom's first (and only) trip to Disney where I hope we can luck up on a Preview event
Now, DH and I are going in May so I need to watch for FP and/or Dining Package.

Painted dogs during the day and then Hyenas at night. Hyenas are more active at night.

Last I heard was around Memorial day but who knows, Disney has it up as summer

She wasn't lying. We are really discussing nothing. The nothing Disney has given us in terms of showtimes, the nothing Disney has given us in terms of ADR/FP booking dates...
