Yup. That pretty much sums it up. How are do they plan for us to enjoy the magic of nature after dark when the park closes at 6?

not RoL but some updated info on the night safari from the HUB:

How is the new “nighttime safari” different than Kilimanjaro Safaris?This is not a new attraction, just an extension of the operating hours of Kilimanjaro Safaris. Because of that, it shouldn’t be referred to as a new experience.

Wasnt something posted about different animals thus a different experience? Dogs vs hyenas I thought? Also while the hours are extended nocturnal hunters should be different at night than during the day so the experience is different. I don't think it is being billed as a new attraction just that with night the animal behaviors would lead to a "new way to experience"

Get that you are quoting the HUB but I think the comment sounds like they believe Disney is promoting it like a new attraction rather than a new way to see the animals in a different light tongue.

So the info from the Hub makes it sound like the only difference on the night safari will be that it goes on longer, and that there is this 'eternal sunset' lighting. I thought there was going to be more to it than that, although now I say that, I don't know why I thought that.

They rolled out the two new animals that were supposed to be featured on the night safari, the hyenas and wild dogs.

I'm very excited about the hyenas, I've never seen them in a zoo. I've heard they are very hard to keep.

Honestly, I'm really excited about the Night Safari - potentially even more than RoL.

In Singapore, the zoo has a dedicated night safari experience that's an entirely separate park - with a tram ride, nature trails and shows. It's a real treat to see nocturnal animals actually active! One of my favorite things to do there.

While Disney is starting with the Safaris experience, I wouldn't be surprised to eventually see AK add a dedicated "night trail" that opens at dusk...
