It's part of my new outlook for my April trip. I've been practicing my new mantra, "If you love Rivers of Light, set it free. If it comes back, it's yours. If not, it was never meant to be."

Also, cool to see all the new peeps come out today - hello! - I think that last blog post really had an effect!

I'm yet another one that has been trolling the thread. I will be making a short trek to WDW 5/19 - 5/22. It was originally planned as a SWW trip but when that got canceled we decided to make the best of things. Decided to do the Wild Africa Trek and now really hoping RoL is in full force with special dinner seating. We, of course, will be doing what Star Wars events and fireworks are available at HS but now thinking we will be spending a ton more time in AK. I am a fanatical planner and really hope Disney releases the info soon. I really feel for those going right around the opening date and are stuck with no info.

Yes, we definitely all have things to do and schedules to keep! That was more of a ROL joke about not checking MDE at 6 am when ADRs open!

That sounds amazing - we would love to do that - but I think we're already slightly over budget on this one already!

I highly recommend it if you do decide it fits in the budget at some point. A splurge for sure, but we absolutely loved the entire experience. Walked away with AWESOME photos as well. I know... I'm ...

Yes, I was going to use him for my post too! It's definitely on my radar - I saw that about the photographs - very cool! I haven't even told DH about the Star Wars dessert party so it may have to wait for another trip, especially if the mythical preview parties materialize! We're staying at AKL for the first time, so I had wanted to try some type of safari type activity there, but probably won't happen this time around! Some day...

I'm traveling most of this week and today I didn't check until 6:05... but missed nothing. Tomorrow I'll be up earlier and plan to check at 6.

You probably already know this, but when I was looking it up in envy because I want to do it, I saw that they're running a special on the Wild Africa Trek starting 4/24. They probably told you when you booked but figured I'd mention it just in case!

I can't imagine they are going to have a one month hiatus from SW fireworks and would love to see them while we are in town, but it sounded unlikely. Do you have any other info?

I agree it seems strange to have a month long hiatus. They only recently extended to April, correct? Maybe they will extend again? Frustrating! There's a great thread devoted to all the Star Wars happenings at HS - they usually have the most current information...you may have already seen it - it's been going for a while so I linked to the end...

I think the issue is that where the current SW fireworks are shot off from is about to begin undergoing construction. So there may be a hiatus while they complete the new launch area? I hope not, as we are traveling in May as well, but that's my understanding. I also can't imagine a month-long break....you'd think they'd want to continue capitalizing on the SW energy they're creating in HS these days....but that may just be my wishful thinking!!

To get my mind off ROL I started checking out the other night time activities at AK. I noticed they only listed 3 rides that will be open. The Kilimanjaro Safari, Everest, and Kali. Is this all that will be open? If that is all that will be open lines will be a mile long.

Josh reported on his website, that the current fireworks were extended until the new ones start "this summer".
