I don't know...I don't really buy it....
"Mind you, Disney's Night Kingdom will have no traditional theme park rides per se. But you'll still be able to get your fill of excitement & adventure as you strap on a pair of night vision goggles and then wander out into a pitch-black African savanna. Where you'll then be able to observe up-close lions & hyenas as they go through their nocturnal hunting routines."
Um...thanks, but I have no interest to wander a pitch black savanna with lions and hyenas

It smacks of those corporate retreats where everyone from the office has to fall backwards into each others arms, slide down a zip-rope, let out a primal scream and then sing Cumbya. Its just not my thing.
Yeah, you can do that at the SF Zoo!
(Oh come on!! You were thinking it, I'm just the one who typed it.)![]()
Sounds like an offspring of the AK. The cost of the park isn't enough to really show a "new park" construciton, but maybe a sub-park to AK....possibly replacing Conservation Station. Would definitely make sense not to re-create AK just for night time....not to mention AK already closes relatively early, so it would merely pick up where AK leaves off. I am sure people would gladly pay, there are already so many people doing the sunrise/sunset safaris for a pretty penny, just for a couple of hours.
drinks and food![]()
Our family could easily spend $200 bucks on a dinner at Disney![]()
that still isn't near the $1,250 price tag for our family to go to the park![]()
I mean we can only drink so much soday in 1 night![]()
I am not very budget minded when it comes to our trips. We do stay deluxe and we do like spending extra for a special time but SERIOUSLY....
Many families for to Disney and their entire trip cost what 1 night of night kingdom would cost my family![]()
Even the hard ticket events aren't even close to that amount ($250 per person) and with those you get parades, fireworks ... the whole bang up job.![]()
Well Jim Hill says he knows about the new Disney Park. It's going to be called Disney's Night Kingdom. Read more here:

Looks like there will be a lot of people not going to Disney World's 5th Gate.
Then I'm guessing you're not the target market...
I think it's funny how many people here (and elsewhere) can't see how this is going to work, yet Sea World has no problems getting people to go to Discovery Cove all the time for nearly the same price
I swear they feed him stuff to make him look foolish!
(Apparently only Jim got invited)
