Where are all the folks that want to tell us how evil we are for wanting another human to die?

I think one of the scariest movies ever is the original Helter Skelter. The cinematic point of view and the people in were really good. The first time I watched, hell, now when I watch it just freaks me out.

I saw that when I was little and that movie scared the living crap out of me! I will never watch that again.

Well I think it makes sense. I mean the death penalty, even for those of us that in some manner or another support it is not the same as a death of natural causes. Its one thing to kill another human being, no matter how justified it is, its another to think, well that person deserves whatever fate/God/Whatever hands out to them. To me, what we are talking about here is two totally different concepts.

And even though I am wishy washy on the death penalty (the usual, I want people like child murderers gone but I worry about the innocent ones who get a death sentence, so hence, I am wishy washy), there is no way that I can say the Susan Atkins of the world don't deserve to die. And that in some manner or another it isn't a relief when people like that are out of the picture.

I hope she's laying there in that hospital bed scared ****less wondering what's going to happen to her soul.

She is resposible for the deaths of 8 people, probably more..She laughs and brags about it...I have no pity..She's a monster

You're not ruining anything. I was just surprised it took that long for anyone who thinks that way to reply. It takes folks on both sides of the issue (or any issue of importance) to hopefully keep things somewhat balanced in this society.

Ummm not quite true, the Supream Court ruled capital punishment unconstitutional for a period of time, during that time, all people on death row had their sentances converted to life without parol. CA was one of the first states to add capitol punishment back after the supream court ruled it legal again. Now if they could just carry out the sentances in a timely manner.

I thought it was just the California Supreme Court that caused all of the Manson killers to get life instead of their death penalties.

SHe has been in the hospital for a month and rumor has it it's brain cancer .
I don't care what anyone thinks, but I hope she dies a slow painful death. What goes around comes around I say .


BTW, Susan Atkins is a Mason murderer..The one that Sharon Tate begged to let her and her baby live...Atkins said *****, I don't feel a thing for you..You're gonna die and you'd better be ready..She then helped stab Sharon to death and tasted her blood.

I'm with you Jenny. I've researched this case and followed it. I'll go a step further than you -- I think, had California had the death penalty at the time, that the death penalty would have been too easy for her. When someone is executed they are prepared, the manner of execution is administered to relieve as much pain as possible. She didn't give Sharon Tate such courtesy - why should she receive such courtesy. The only regret I have is that the State of California is having to pay for her medical care.
