Congratulations Dai, I reckon Wales deserved it on their second half performance, although I think England threw it away rather than Wales winning it. :confused3

Methinks that may be the last appearance Mr Balshaw makes in an England shirt for a while.

Kev

What a load of tosh from a lot of the England centres.

Balshaw played particularily bad, but, he was not alone. The passing was poor all the way through. Everyone seemed to be wearing blinkers, and heading for the try line.

We have possibly the biggest and strongest winger in the world, but, he received at most 5 passes, and 2 of those were when we were retreating. I have to say that Brian Moore was spot on, the England passing and decision making was absolutely shocking.

In fairness to Wales, they should not have won, but, they made the most of their chances where England did not.

Not sure where the collapse came from, maybe they've been being coached by the cricket coaches:rotfl2:

Well done though Welshies, but, and as we say down Glawster way, we'll see you in the Heineken Cup which is where it really matters!

Yep, and they won! Wayulls, Wayulls! And why not a Grand Slam?!!

Sara. :)

No chance, I reckon they'll have trouble beating Italy let alone anyone else.

Never before has the expression concerning a game of two halfves been so more appropriate (even though it was originally about football).

I have nothing to add to this thread, at least until tomorrow. :)
Hoping we catch the French cold on the first weekend.

No grand slam predictions from here.

I was gutted. I only saw the first half when I was at the pub, and it was a good game - so what happened in the 2nd half ? didn't the England team come back out ? ;)

Good Luck to Scotland this afternoon :thumbsup2

Final result

Scotland 6 - France 27 :sad2:

Unfortunately, I wasn' able to see the game as I had to take Alex to choir.

David

I'm not sure that any team has come out of the first round of matches with any real superiority. The Welsh are obviously the happiest (and rightly so) but it could still go any way at all.
It's going to be fun viewing.

Kev

I think you're looking at either France or England, even in view of yesterday's fiasco.

I think Italy can cause a couple of upsets, but, I think with the English pack we should be ok against them, but not sure Wales and France will have the same luxury. Albeit I think the Wales Italy game is in Cardiff.
