We stayed at RPR from August 8 to August 12. We had a standard view room, but thanks to these boards, I had a great view of the parks. Our room number was 1746.

We really liked this resort - having stayed at all three Universal properties, this is now our favorite. The room is a little small, but was adequate for our family of four DW, me, DD8 and DD9.

The pool is great - but a slide would have been nice.

We did the luau and had breakfast at the lobby level counter service.

The luau was fun and the food was okay - I am happy we did this, but would not do it again.

Our room was very quiet, and very clean.

My only complaint - parking. For the $15 a day they charged me, there should have been sufficient parking spaces. What happens is, the parking attendant leaves around 9:00 or so, and the lot (my guess) gets filled with City Walk patrons who do not want to pay for parking. One day, I could not find a spot (so I parked 'illegally' in valet). Another night, I found a spot way in the back of the hotel (easily a 5-7 minutes walk), so I again parked in valet.

However, we really did like this resort and I would stay here again. Given the AP rate that I paid (150 a night, average plus parking), I think this resort is a relative bargain. AND you cannot beat FOTL.

Any questions?

You pretty much summed up my feelings on the RPR.The only place we stay on-site anymore:thumbsup2 Get alot of bang for your buck. And the resort is so easy to get around..

The parking issue is a good point also. One time it was so full we parked at the employee parking lot.For $15 a day we were upset also.Didnn't dawn on me to say the heck with it and park in the valet area..

If parking is an issue, complain to the front desk and see if they will comp it.

The problem is,I'm not a big mouth(my wife complains about this to me all the time)I just go with the flo..

But a 5-10 min walk was not acceptable to her.She did alot of complaining,to no avail..We just got our room, walked the parking lot and found a great spot under a tree. And our car stayed there for 4days.Sorry about your bad luck if you move your car:)

I did leave my car in the valet area for about 36 hours with no issue - since I did have a parking pass in my front window I was not particularly concerned. I do think that the resort should have 24 hour coverage at the entrance - WDW resorts do this - and this would likely take care of many parking concerns.

If I had gotten a call (or a ticket) about my car being parked in valet, I would have complained. Since I did not, I figured no harm/no foul.
