Royal Tea reservations question

I've read in several reviews that when you reserve your spot for the royal court royal princess tea, that they ask for the child's favorite princess (and the cupcake they get matches that princess dress). My booking window opened at midnight, and I made reservations for this experience, but I wasn't asked about the princess. Did I do this right, or did I miss a step somewhere? The activity is showing up on the summary of reservations.... tia!

They will call you in your stateroom on the cruise and ask.

Perfect, thanks! That means she can still change her mind 74 times between now and then. Phew!

Absolutely! lol While one of my girls kept to Tiana the whole time my other daughter went between a million answers until called our stateroom while onboard! And for all her fussing she barely looked at the princess while she scarfed the cupcake down :rotfl2:

I wonder, do you think they have them all? My DD is obsessed with Moana... and the other with Belle. That would be an interesting tea party...

They only had 4 when we did it last summer on the Fantasy. Belle, Tiana, Cinderella, and Ariel.

For ours, they didn't call our stateroom but had a note in our stateroom when we first arrived asking me to call Guest Services with my daughter's preference.

Out of curiosity, were those the princesses at the Princess Gathering? I wonder if it depends on which princesses have "friends" on the ship.

The cupcakes did not match the princesses that attended. Maybe the choices are based on what color icing they have.

I don't believe that Disney officially considers Moana a "princess" other than the story line casts her as daughter of a tribal chief. The Disney Princesses are, for lack of a better term, "branded" and Disney hasn't yet declared Moana to be part of that group. She may eventually. If you have a young one hoping to see Moana (or most any specific character) you should start to set expectations that no character is guaranteed to be onboard. She may not see her favorite princess, at the Tea or Princess Gathering or elsewhere.

Enjoy your cruise!

Our princess choices for cupcakes did match the ones that were in attendance at the tea.

My daughter chose Rapunzel for her cupcake, but the princesses in attendance were Tiana, Cinderella, and Belle.

Yes, we told our daughter that some of the princesses have to stay back to meet people at Disney world, and some are at their castles. Not all of them are able to take a vacation the same week as us. Luckily, parenting to the 4-year-old crowd can consist 99.9% of lying and creative tales!
We've done the same with our daughter who is dying to meet Princess Elena. Her second favorite is Ariel, so I'm hoping she'll be there on the Dream this December. As we get closer to our sail date I plan on asking people who are getting off cruises at that time whic Princesses were at the meet and greets and the Princess Tea. That way I can start hyping whichever Princesses will actually be there, watching their movies again with her, etc, so she's thrilled to see them even if her absolute favorites aren't there. That, and I've learned to never absolutely promise anything when it comes to theme parks, rides, characters, etc. And to have a quick "creative tale" ready at all times in case of emergency. Lol. Makes me realize and appreciate just how hard my own parents must have worked for any of my "magical" childhood memories!

What time is Royal Tea on Disney Dream? Is it possible to do Bibbibi Bobbidi Boutique before Royal Tea?
Thank you :)

We traveled on the Wonder on 3/15 and 3/18 and our DD most definitely did BBB before the royal tea.

On the Wonder a couple of weeks ago it was Cinderella, Belle and Aerial...............but we did see Tiana at the Princess meet and at Tiana's place.

What time did you schedule BBB? Is there a certain time for Royal Tea?
Cruising on Dream in October... our first Disney Cruise :)
You can schedule them both when you check-in for activities on your check in date, 75 days out. You will be able to see the time when you book. It is usually at either 2 or 3 o'clock.

On our cruise, they did offer it on a port day, so be aware that it happens. And at 75 days out, the sea day Tea was fully booked.
