Hi there..we will be staying at RPH for the first time in 2 weeks for 4 days/3 nights. Can someone give me some tips on what location to request? We are family of 4....2 boys ages 13 & 8. We have stayed at HRH before but wanted to try something different.

We are planning on mixing the parks with quality time at the pools.

What is the walk like from RPH to the parks? Any route tips?

Also, anyone have pixs of a standard room? Or the pool area?

Thanks!!!!

read the thread on rph above in the stickies.
you will see a lot of choice room numbers others have preferred.

many of the trip reports have pics of rph and the grounds.

oh, the picture i "borrowed" back two years ago.........

i was one floor different from patster that trip.........i was on floor 6

I thought you were on the 7th?

I quickly searched through the RPR thread and saw your post with the picture. I still had it on photobucket so I decided to post it for this thread.

oops, yes 7th......

after you stay at the hotels enough times, the numbers/floor kind of run together......

There is only one route to the parks, Islands about 10 minutes walk and US about 15, timings at a guess but nice peaceful walk by the river. You can go by boat but have to wait for the boat so quicker just to walk. There is also a bus that goes closer to Universal. There are also some people on bikes with seats for passengers that run up and down the path but I have no idea on what you tip these people.

We found it so relaxing staying onsite at Universal for the first time last year so much so we booked to go to Hard Rock this year and back to Royal Pacific next year. The fact that you are in walking distance to two class theme parks is invaluable and also gave my hubbie chance not to drive on a night. Being from the UK driving on the 'wrong' side of the road demands a lot of concentration.
