Thanks for the update.

I'm sorry that I haven't been around for the past few days. It was our 22nd wedding anniversary and hubby kidnapped me! This is the first time he has done anything of this kind! It only took me 25 years to "SHOW HIM THE LIGHT" hahahaa

So after 4 days of no phones, no TV, no kids..I'm back and ready to get this swap a MOVING!

So I will be on the horn...plus PMing DebraW76 again and let's see if we can get this swap back in working order!

BTW...I can't wait until our 25th because our 21 was soooo relaxing and great quality time. Something we don't get with 5 children. :)

How amazing!!!! That means my DH may get the hint(s)....he has 5 more years until our 22nd...so maybe there is hope!!

But....back to the swap....I replied to rugoingagain PM and forwarded it to you and uncle.jr as well.

Got Tinkerbell21 PM--thank you!!!!

Replied to Nurse_Mommy4 PM with all my info for drop off of Tink to ME!!!!!

Well it is our 10th wedding anniversary this Thursday and hubby works a double!!!:scared1:

So needless to say...we will celebrate on Friday. I am kidnapping him (just for one night). He is unaware as far as I know. Babysitter all lined up...now to find a quick deal on a hotel room somewhere!!!:lmao:

Wish me luck!:wizard:

How neat, so many of us around the same time for the anniversaries!! ours is next tuesday, but we are heading to the beach this weekend to celebrate :)

Hi Maddi,

Congrats on the anniversary!

I'm going to be switching locations from SOG to All Star Music (saved $1300 with free dining!). I'll have a family suite there, but I have no clue as to the storage space.

Still willing to do the stroller sitting for RC1 if someone can assure me that I'll have room for it. We are planning to rent a full-size car, so I shouldn't have any problems with transport now.

Also, we leave on the 7th, so I will hold onto them until then unless someone else comes along for that date. I won't need the strollers on the 7th otherwise.

Thanks,
Laural

Thanks Laura! #1 should fit in a suite with no problem what-so-ever. I have everything changed on the calendar.

OK for a lil fun....

You always hear about the wonderful things at WDW....so I was wondering...what is the worst thing that has every happened to you at WDW (besides having to go home?)

Ours was last year...the last time we would get to go to LTT when it had Characters. It was for MNSSHP---something we have always done for that night. Go to LTT just before MNSSHP and enjoy the wonderful food AND see the Characters all dressed up.

Well, Last year was when Disney was trying out a new bussing company/plan. Basically It bit big ones. At the All Stars, you basically share buses...and us being at Movies...there wasn't many buses at for MK. I think the other two resorts were filling them up and never making it to Movies.

We stood in line for over an hour...yes an hour! See bus after bus come and go for the water parks and DTD but not MK. Occassionally there was buses to DH, Epcot, and AK but none...I do mean NONE for MK. Our ADR was at 6:00...we were at the bus stop at 4:30. Plenty of time to get to MK to make our ADR...right?

WRONG! We got to the park, literally RAN like crazy tourist to LTT and got there at 6:20. They gave our ADR away! DD was soooo Disappointed so I begged and pleaded with the Hostess. Finally she said she would "squeeze" us in and gave us a 4 fast pass for the problem with the busses. So we waited...and waited...and waited. Another hour goes by and nothing. Finally totally done, we told them we were leaving and could they fit us in after the Halloween parade. She said, she would be sure to put us in at that time. GREAT! Later supper is better than no supper...right? WRONG!

We stood and watched the parade right at LTT door step. Right after the parade...I mean right after the parade we walked into LTT and YEA..we were seated. We were soooo ready for this delicious meal! Well, it was horrible. OUr waiter had an attitude from Heck! He was definitely more interested in the 4 pretty young ladies at the table next to us than he was with a mermaid and a hula momma (our costumes). He Forgot us repeatedly. All I can say is thank heavens for the bread because it was really good. We got to see 2 of the 5 characters. The other three walked right on by. When our waiter did finally bring us the family style meal...he still hadn't brought our drinks. When he came over about the desserts is when he remembered our drinks. It was HORRIBLE. I had finally had enough...I was so upset, that we got up and left. No tip for the pretty boy waiter. Once outside, we went to haunted mansion and that picked up my mood but then I remembered that I left in such a huff that I didn't give them my card for the FD meal. We rushed back over and they were closed down but ppl were inside. I knocked and knocked and guess who answered the door finally...our waiter! :scared1: He said "I'm sorry but we are closed" and as I was getting ready to explain about not paying...he shut the door. Ok...we left and had a grand night at MNSSHP

Fine big boy..not only did you not get..I had extra dining credits. Chef Mickeys was really good is all I can say.

But in all the years we have went to WDW...this is the only really bad experience we had. SO I can't complain. :)

Wow! I was thinking of doing a LTT meal this time...we have never tried it...with your review, I'm not sure I should...

I can thankfully say that we have had nearly all good experiences at Disney (except for DH who gets grumpy by about the 5th day...but that's not Disney's fault). Here's three MINOR issues:

1) My girlfriend had a key issue at POFQ...we came back from PI a few years ago and it was late...we got in our room fine but she had to get a key redone THREE times. Each time she went from the lobby to her room and back again. At 2am or so, this is not what you want to do.

2) I tried to get a key remade at AKV since they made the two keys out to me and my 2 yo...instead of my DH. For some reason AKV couldn't make a 3rd key but had to cancel one key first...not sure what they were doing but it took me 43 minutes to get one key.

3) Lastly, we waited in line at Buzz Lightyear and right before we rounded the last bend, my 2 yo daughter had a near 'blow-out'. I politely asked the CM if we could get out of line, change her diaper and then use the FP entrance so we didn't have to stand in line again. He said no. If we leave the line, we'd have to wait all over again. I explained that I didn't want to take my daughter on the ride and get p00p all over the car. He said there was nothing he could do.

So we rode the ride. I was mad and secretly hoping that there would be stuff all over...but before you FLAME me, I did wrap a blanket around her and nothing came out of the diaper...it was close though. I really thought the CM would have been more understanding...

*OK, knocking on wood now that no MAJOR troubles befall us on our upcoming trip!* :rotfl2:

Thankfully, no major disappointments at Disney. Of course, I haven't been there as often as many of you, so the odds are in my favor.

Fingers crossed that I don't hate ASMusic - I'm used to the large rooms at SOG, but it will be fun to be part of the full Disney experience.

There have been many trips over the years not to many "incidents".

The only one that really sticks out is last August. It was the last day of our trip and all the bags were packed in the back seat of the rental car.(When they say a convertible has no trunk space they mean it!!!!!):rotfl:
We were at DTD picking up some last minute items when DD13 wanted to get a hair wrap done. No problem.....so I thought. So, she is perched on a stool under one of those make shift tents when the skies open up.....buckets of rain, thunder and lightening. The poor guy doing the hair wrap decides that we had better get inside as we are all getting soaked. So DD gets off the stool and slips on the rubber mat beneath her. Well the slip looked like something out of a cartoon and by the time she stopped skidding she was a mess. Bloody knees and elbows:sad1:
I know that accidents happen. My only problem was that none of the stores had a first aid kit and the emergency one I had in my purse was not going to do. So they call Disney EMS. Very nice duo arrive mop up the blood, clean out her wounds the best they can but....no band aids big enough!!!!
By this time I have filled out three accident reports all to different people and departments and I am beginning to panic because we should be on the way to the airport. Still no band aids. I finally ask them to wrap them in gauze and tape as the blood is still running down her legs.
I ended up putting DD in the car and drove to a CVS and bought bandaids and first aid cream to patch her up for the flight home.
Made it home and it was not until I was changing the bandaids that night that I realized how bad her knees were. To be safe I took her to the doctor the next morning and he flushed both the wounds out and gave me an antibiotic as a precaution. She still has scars on both knees:scared:
However DD does not seem tramatized by the incident and I am just glad that it was not any worse. DD still talks about it but only because she received two tinkerbell trading pins of her choice from EMS from a huge pin book that they had in there vehicle!!!!

So as a precaution for this year I have packed every size, shape and kind of band aid that they make. I think my first aid kit is bigger than the one EMS had:rotfl::rotfl:

Hey Maddi,
I got the PM & just wanted to say that we are still at POP. CB in December sure would be nice, but DH says no! He's ready to go. Just 65 more days!!!

Hello Maddi. Hello Swappers. Just wanted to let everyone know that I haven't forgotten about you all. I have been in contact with Instep and had to send them pictures and copies of sales receipts. They are looking into it to see if it is a warranty claim or not. I will let you know as soon as I find something out.

Hello everyone! Just wanted to give a quick update on stroller #5. I had no problems getting it out of luggage services, they found it very quickly. My husband replaced the seat and it worked perfectly for my girls. The only minor problem was the issue of the missing screws. When you unfold the stroller you kind of have to guide the bars to lock in place, wasn't a big deal though. I just got off the phone with the next swapper to make sure he didn't have any trouble getting the stroller out of LS and I am happy to report that RC#5 is safe and sound! I also want to thank Maddi for keeping this swap going - I don't know how you do it! Also, thank you so much for letting my family take part in the swap! The stroller worked perfectly for us. Good luck to the rest of the swappers!:) Dena

Yeah!! I'm glad to hear #5 is back up and running!

Hopefully we can everything resolved soon. Thanks DebraW76 for the update. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you if you will keep yours crossed for me.

If nothing else, we have original #5's frame...if we have too. :)

OK for a bit of magic...as I have gotten two of them this week and we are soooo excited.

We had LeCelliers for 9/23 but had to change our dates to Epcot to 9/18. I gave our LeCelliers to another DIS'er instead of cancelling it...We have to look out for each other right. Well, for over a month I have searched and searched and no LeCelliers at all for 3 ppl. Then...Poof...a 6:40PM for 3 ppl on 9/18. But now I had this gap on 9/23. Parker so wanted to meet the Evil Step Sister...but no 1900 Parkfare anywhere. I called 3 times a day, checked every hour from 5PM-10PM and nothing. Tonight, on my hourly check...POOF.... 1900 Parkfare for 3 ppl on 9/23 at 6:40PM. I couldn't confirm quickly enough!

So does this look scrumpious....

Great news for you!! Yay!!

That sure is a lot of food -- how fun!

And not that you asked, but I would prob cancel that lunch...having a breakfast, lunch and dinner TS in one day is really a lot...you'll feel like all you did that day was wait to eat; eat; and recover from eating!! :rotfl:

I feel so inferior. Only planning on two TS meals - both of them lunch. Tomorrow is my ADR day, so I'm planning for a midnight run on the website.

If you're interested - we'd like to go to:
50's Prime Time
Coral Reef

Since I only qualify for QS Dining Plan (I don't want to pay to upgrade since there are two days where we will be off-park), we'll have to pay OOP. I don't mind for only two TS meals.

Any news on the warranty replacements?

Hey everyone...I'm back! We got back late last night around midnight and I'm at work now! :(

So we had RC#2 and had no problems whatsoever getting it from luggage services at Saratoga Springs. I was worried about the rip in the seat, but I think the patch is holding up very well! I used the stroller about half of our trip as my girls were so into hitting and kicking each other constantly! We gave it up and braved the parks w/ no stroller the last half of the trip!

The accessory bag has in it: a rain cover, a sun shade that I had no clue how to use!, extra undercarriage storage bag, another patch and sewing kit.

I left the stroller with luggage services at Saratoga on Thursday morning for the next swapper and text/called her with the tag #.

Thank you so much for allowing us to participate in the swap! I'm so glad that even with all of the mishaps, the swap is still going strong!
