Aw shucksYou're cool too!

Aw shucksYou're cool too!

(edit to say I miss my auburn hair...dark brown is nice but I'm going back to dark red next salon visit)Agree. I just don't understand deciding to actually do it and then somehow justifying it.PS: I stayed up last night fascinated by that "marathon investigation" website where they try to catch cheaters. I don't know why it intrigued me so much. Maybe because I just am not that type of person to take the short cut. That if I suck during a race or I'm not having a good go at it, I just trudge on and own it. That there is no race I'd be willing to cheat my way into qualifying for...because why? I hardly have the guts to sign up for races that are a bit "over my skis" that don't even need qualifications...so to try to get into one the wrong way...I just don't get it. I've seen one blatant case of course cutting by two teenage girls who were actually running at a pretty solid clip ahead of me and didn't seem to be struggling at all. But they were laughing and giggling so I chalked it up to the equivalent of kids shop lifting in the mall. I just was never that kind of kid. Oh well...I'm still weirdly fascinated by the psychology behind it.
It never occurred to me that people do this until I heard about that website a little over a year ago.

People are weird. Also, great job getting back to it!!![]()
Womp womp! They strangely made me feel like a very very large person with teeny tiny kid wings on when I caught a glance in the mirror. I thought I'd like wearing wings to Tink but now I'm not so sure. Maybe these were just too small but they made me feel hefty...like that Chris Farley skit "big guy in a little jacket." Maybe I'll give them another go with my actual race shirt at some point. But now I may be leaning towards team-no wings. I'll take pics (or video if I'm really brave.)

I'm a new training journal follower, so better late than never right?
Those Mickey waffles look amazing... I have been craving waffles or pancakes with blueberry or raspberry syrup... maybe this weekend
I defintiely get phantom pains.. basically all of the time. Good luck with your tempo run!
Thanks for reading! The waffles were very much a pancake/waffle hybrid instead of a true waffle. Blueberry syrup sounds amazing...and now I'm kicking myself because I have actual blueberries in my fridge right now. Why didn't I think of that????
