As far as the comments people make regarding her appearance, it is truly sad to me that people allow themselves to be so hateful. They are like kids throwing rocks and laughing at the pain. In speaking this way they say much more about themselves and their inner appearance.

There is what 1, maybe 2 posters who are making fun of her weight, sexual orientation etc. Therefore everyone who doesn't like her must think this way.

I don't like her because she can't shut her big mouth long enough to hear anyone else. She belittles and talks over and down to anyone who disagrees with her. My dislike for her has nothing to do with her politics, sexual orientation or weight.
I liked her stand up, loved her in A League of Their Own. I enjoyed her talk show until she showed her true colors when Tom Seleck was on to promote a movie. She refused to let him talk about the movie and instead blasted him for being a member or the NRA. When it was pointed out that her body guards carried guns, of course that was a different story, she needed protection from the right wing nuts, has children to look after etc. Her hypocrisy turned me off big time

if you watched the view before the big fight, the show was very strange. Joy liz and barbara all seemed to gang up on rosie, to the point she really just stopped talking for the rest of the show. I think that rosie was hurt by what was going on. There are "rumors" that the producers of the view were out to run her into the ground so she would not be picked up by another network with her own show. By reading her blog it really seemed that she thought the other women, including liz to be her friends. She felt betrayed by people she cared about. Mouth or not, thats a hard pill to swallow , especially if playing out on network TV.

Reguardless of what you think about her she donates much of her own money to many charities besides her childrens foundation. She aparently has been a frequent unpublisized visitor to many diffrent VA hospitals offering emotional, and monitary support to many of the wounded vets and their families. Imagine doing this and reading and hearing that you think the troops are terorist and evil. She never did say that, she did say that the current administration are running government sponsored terorism in Iraq. She has always maintained undying support for the troops.

Like her or not, big mouth for sure, she has alot of guts for putting up with what she did for as long as she did. She will continue to be a charitable force for kids and the troops im sure. Rosie is a genuine person, what you see is what you get.

I saw her in a restaurant I was in once in NY and after she finished her meal was approached by a few kids in the restaurant, this is back when she had her own show, she greeted each child with a hug and a huge smile signed autographs and had a short conversation with each one, a real class act, like her politics or not, shes the real deal.

I have always liked Rosie. Nice that you posted this, people only see what they want to see.
Not sure if I will watch anymore, I find Elizabeth annoying......

I do think she's angry about this war and pretty steadfast in her opinion. Just as Elizabeth is steadfast in her opinion that we are doing some good over there. It makes ME absolutely crazy to listen to Elizabeth sometimes, but I still believe her to be someone who I can respect for having a very steadfast opinion and a willingness to make a stand. I hate when people dismiss others as "crazy" when they hold an opinion or a stance that doesn't match their own.

I remember when Rosie had Tom Selleck on her show. I agree she handled herself very unprofessionally. She's very opinionated, she's bound to piss people off every now and again. Still doesn't make me dismiss her as a person or an entertainer. In fact, I'd say she's wildly entertaining, hence all these threads about her day after day. I think a lot of people like to watch her so they can then whine about her...I cannot fathom watching someone who I found annoying day after day but hey whatever turns ya on. I can't stand that big blowhard Rush Limbaugh as either an entertainer OR a person, I would never give him one second of my listening time, let alone listen to him everyday.

But I haven't seen one person who dislikes or even hates her mention her sexuality. I've only seen it mentioned by those defending her.

Nah, not really into looking for a link. You can look for it if you want. I've seen so many posters be downright hateful about Rosie, and I'd say most have implied she's an un American crazy liberal who wants the terrorists to win. I'm sure being a female and being opinionated, on top of being a lesbian, is not winning points for these same people either. Its sickening to me, quite frankly, that sort of "with us or against us" mentality. But knock yourself out with a search.

I only started watching the view because Rosie was on. I missed The Rosie show after it went off the air. It's nice to see someone who can actually voice their genuine opinion and ditch the tv plastic, which I find nauseating.

You made the gereralization that "the people who hate her"... you did not say some people who hate her.

These are my feelings EXACTLY - down to when I got fed up with her.

And I have no sympathy for the bashings she's taking - even the ones that are unfair - because she is a classic - you can dish it out but you can't take it person. She's been a big disappointment to me. When her old show first started I used to tape it and watch it when I came home from work - I loved how she talked about the old tv shows and was a trivia nut like me. But then as she started becoming more and more successful she started taking herself seriously and apparently thought because she was a celebrity that made her an expert on whatever she had to say. I wouldn't walk across the street to see her now.

You are the one who brought this up; that her sexuality has been mentioned in this thread. I disagree and I'm disputing that claim. I just thought you could back up your claim with a link. No biggie.

I just looked through this whole thread again because for the life of me I don't recall that happening. Nope, no one mentions her being a lesbian or being gay except those defending her so it's not 'right here in this thread' as you said it was.

I didn't take that to mean that every single word was used in this thread, but that some of that hatred is in this thread. Which it is. Although there are other similar threads and I don't even know which exact one I am in right now.

That is the exact type of generalization I am talking about.
You think that because some one hates her it must be because of her
weight, sexual orientation etc. Why can't it be because we just think she is a jerk?
