Hi guys. Has anyone stayed at the Rosen Shingle Creek hotel? If so, how did you like it? Thanks for any info you can give me about it.:)

I read some reviews on it in the late fall, supposed to be a nice place, but it was still brand new and VERY (let me emphasize VERY) rough around the edges still. People were checking into rooms that weren't finished (plumbing was missing, etc), the staff didn't know what they were doing, etc. All signs of a place that isn't quite ready to open. By now they may have worked all of this out, but as of late fall, not a place you would want to really be at (a lot of the restaurants and such weren't open either). Those who finally got a room that was finished said it was nice, but you would hear construction noise still, that sort of thing.

I'd definitely check tripadvisor or other boards for current, up to date reviews before booking there, just to make sure it's fully finished, up and running, and all the kinks are worked out.

Thanks everyone. My husband has a meeting there next weekend, so we are only staying for 2 nights. Could be very interesting. I'll give an update when we return.

Thanks again!

Just wanted to let those know who were interested, we are back. Here is the low down....

The whole resort is HUGE. It has 1400 rooms and a TON of meeting space. It is very much a convention hotel. Front desk was nice, our girl was good. The guy next to us did not have as good of luck. Being that this is a convention hotel, the package delivery system was VERY VERY VERY BAD. My husband had some boxes shiped and it took them over 4 hours to deliver them.

The rooms are very nice and the beds are great. Nice big bathrooms with huge showers. The rooms come with an empty fridge and flat screen TV's with great cable. There are 3 good size pools but not a lot of pool chairs. Food was really good. There is a nice 24 hour market on site. Housekeeping was good. Golf course looked nice. There is a nature hike out back, I think it is a mile and goes around the lake.

I would not stay there again for a "vacation". There are to many other nice places to stay with a better location to the attractions. But if you are going for a meeting, this is a nice place to stay.
