Roseanne tv show fan thread

I laughed for about 20mns last night over the episode where Dan brought home the dirty movie and he said "I figured we could watch it for a few minutes and then....you know...." and Roseanne said, "Then what? Barf?"

I love that one too. Roseanne complains that Dan is romantic and Dan says "We dont need romance, we have memories of romance."

Roseanne is my favorite show ever! I must have seen each episode a dozen times.
My 12 year old DD and were watching it the other night on TV Land. She was amazed that the show we were watching was from 19 years ago! Its still just as funny today.

Some of my favorites are:

Dan and Roseanne lose the bike shop and the electricity goes out because they havent paid the bill. Roseanne says "well, middle class was nice..."

DJ in the spelling bee. Dan and Roseanne pray out loud "please let it be a word he knows!" The spelling bee lady says "DJ, your word is "Foreclosure". Dan puts his arm around Roseanne and they both have huge smiles on their faces knowing DJ will get that one right!

Christmas episode: Roseanne and her mom Beverly get into a heated discussion about whether God exists. Jackie moans in disgust "why are we talking about God and religion...its Christmas!!??"

My favorite episode is a Valentines Day one where the guy Darlene likes asks Becky out instead. When Roseanne finds out while at work, she says to Bonnie "I'm sleeping at your house, okay?" Also that episode, DJ gives Roseanne a handmade valentine card that ends "Love, Warren" He admits he didnt make it, but instead took it out of the garbage at school. Later Dan was too embarrased to buy Roseanne lingerie for Valentines Day so he made her a card and signs it "Love, Warren."

I loved the episode where they find the pot and smoke it in the bathroom. Classic!

Another one of my favorites is when Becky has a friend come over to study, and they get into the liquor cabinet. Becky is over the toilet the next morning, and Darlene comes in and talks about breakfast sausage. Love it!

I love the pot episode! Jackie is in the tub and she says, "Is this the sink? Am I shrinking???"

I think Jackie was the BEST character ever. "Mom, I went out with a guy I hardly know, we had sex for HOURS, and now I'm pregnant....I'm keeping the baby and if it's a girl, I'm naming it Gidget."

The final episode was, I think, the best finale of any series ever. It was shocking and heartbreaking all at once. I'm disappointed we didn't get to find out what happened with Crystal and Bonnie. Crystal cracked me up and she seemed to just be gone in the final season.

I watched that one while on the treadmill this morning - actually, the one after the wedding when Dan is in the hospital. I love when they go seperatly, and talk to "god" asking for more time with each other.

I also watched the one where Roseanne has the diner, and they keep getting free stoves, but DJ has found "religion" and gets upset about it.

Darlene and Jackie are definitely my favorites on that show.

Love the WDW episode when Roseanne is trying to convince Dan to go by telling him "I hear in Epcot they have this thing called a "Beer Garden"" Dan starts jumping around in excitement!

Yeah - thats a great one. He starts running to Epcot from the Magic Kingdom because Jacky tells him that MK doesn't serve liquor. Then he sits down at the Crown and Thorn (I think thats the name of the British Pavilion restaurant) and orders a "yard." I don't think they sell that anymore, though - am I right about that? Its an awfull lot of beer if they do!!!

My other favorite part is when Mark gets jellous when the characters "hit on" Becky! And I loved it when the grandmother is sitting infront of Mickeys house singing to Jerry and Andy. I'm bummed that I eraced it after watching it last, but I'm sure it will be on again.

I started to watch (what I thought was) Roseanne last night on TV Land at 11pm, and it was actually the Cosby show! I hate it when they do that - the guide says one thing, but whats really on is another. Oh well!
