Roseanne tv show fan thread

Me too but actually Sara Gilbert is.

Oh and if anyone likes Sara Gilbert and Johnny Galeki the both appear in The Big Bang Theroy

Oh yeah.. That is right. I forgot she was.

I saw them on there a few time together. It is so hard to think of them as anyone other than Darlene and David :goodvibes

I love the show, but it makes me sad each time I see an episode featuring Mark. I thought Glen Quinn was a terrific actor both on Roseanne and on Angel. What a tragic loss.

I really enjoyed him on that show too.

Remember when they inherited money when an aunt died.

They all went out to dinner and Darlene was embarrassed saying, it is like if you all have never seen money before

Mark made some comment about..The only I got when my aunt or whomever died, was a 32 acre farm :rotfl:

I absolutely love this show. And love to watch the reruns. They are just as funny 10+ years later. Laurie Metcalf is a comic genius. Without saying a word, she can make me laugh. And John Goodman too. My favorite scene from the entire Roseanne series is an end credit scene...Dan and the spoiled milk.:happytv:Has me roaring every time I see it. I think some of their funniest stuff was aired during the end credits. I found this online article of Roseanne's Top 5 End Credit Scenes...

Roseanne’s Top Five End Credit Scenes
Posted: Sep 10, 2008 10:10 AM Reply

So, I’ve been catching repeats of Roseanne lately (one of my favorite sitcoms) and not only has it reminded me what a great series it was, but I’d forgotten that, sometimes, the best part were the scenes shown during the end credits. After giving it some thought, here are my top five best end credit scenes:

No. 5 - The homage to Cops:

You didn’t have to be a regular watcher of Cops to know that this sequence captured the series beautifully; the shaky camera, the cursing, the belligerence, the expected running criminal in DJ, and Rosie wearing the quintessential wife beater.

No. 4 – Linoleum Sock Skating with Scott Hamilton:

To watch Olympic gold champion Scott Hamilton “sock skate” in the Connor’s kitchen was hilarious and then with Mark joining him (and winning the competition I believe) and the entertaining commentary, well, you couldn’t lose.

No. 3 – Madame Beverly:

Bev and her beau are in her bedroom talking about Bev’s recently healed, uh, bedroom-related injury and if it’s safe to try again. Then, Bev comes out of the bedroom and we see that she’s clad in all leather from head to toe complete with cap and cat o’ nine tails. But she’s still our Bev as she fluffs a pillow, puts items away, turns out a light and, with a swing of the whip, heads back to the bedroom.

No. 2 – They say she’s the same, but she isn’t the same:

This one was downright brilliant, the episode itself was actually a clip show, but it was so more than that. Jackie plays her much older mother while Dan plays a much older DJ. The setting is a therapist’s office where we see DJ consistently repeating the above-mentioned phrase, which has Bev beyond confused. The fascinating part was so were viewers. What could he be talking about ? As the clips are shown, the mystery isn’t made any clearer. Then, during the end credits, viewers finally see the source of DJ’s bewilderment; he was referring to the two actresses who played Becky !! Hence, they say she’s the same, but she isn’t the same, so, brilliant, right ?

No. 1 – Dan and the Spoiled Milk:

This end-credit scene begins innocently enough with Dan getting milk in the kitchen. But with his first sip, it’s clear that something is wrong. Dan drops the carton on the table and has the worst/best reaction to the spoiled milk. He thrashes, lashes out, falls to the floor, clutches his throat, shakes, shivers, and I’m sure his eyes rolled back too. After a few moments, he pulls himself off the floor, still recovering from the bitter experience, picks up the offending milk, and puts it back in the fridge !!!! Then, he throws himself back on the kitchen floor as if the ghost of the spoiled milk still has him in his grip. It’s no wonder why this is my no. 1 pick.

That one was my favorite.

I've been watching this show every night for months now.
It came out the month and year I was born. I'm pretty sure I remember my parents watching it when I was growing up.

The episode with the Cops homage was on last night.

Oh, that whole episode was great. Poor Dan gets the blame because Bev blamed it on something he fixed in her bathroom, then Jake (poor little Jake) comes by and spills the beans to Roseanne and Jackie ("Craftmatic Adjustable Bev!"). :happytv:

And how sad is it that I remembered Jake's name without having to look it up online? :teeth:

I love Jake. He was a riot :rotfl:

Remember when in the diner, Jackie and Roseanne I think dropped maybe a fork or something and they asked him to pick it up

HE said something like"Did you get a good look at the Dairy aire? :lmao:

Hey, I'm late, but can I still join? I loove this show. It comes on tvland and I watch, I think, all the way from 8pm to 3am.

I watch Roseanne every single morning while I run on the treadmill. It keeps me focused on something other than the time, and I guess the sight of her and Dan keep me motovated!!
Seriously though, I love Roseanne - I've seen every episode at least 10 times (other than the one that she goes to the gay bar - anyone notice that they never re-run that one, though it was just on again the other day). I always cry at the finale, and also the one where they think they are going to lose Darleens baby. Such a great show, I wish she would come out with a new series - but lightning only strikes once - if she came out with a new show, it probably wouldn't be a good as the orignal Roseanne, KWIM.

Yeah....another show would never work......

just would not be the same :goodvibes

Roseanne is one of my favorite shows! I'm watching it right now! I've DVR'd my favorite episodes and watch them when there is nothing else on tv. So, I'm pretty much watching Roseanne all day long....maybe I should try and get a life, huh?:lmao:

I like to DVR them in my bedroom. Like watching them before bed.

They are like a security blanket would be to a child....comforting and familiar:goodvibes

I could watch the first season over and over again! Soooo good!

I loved that show, not just because it was funny but because this sitcom family was a little bit more realistic. Like, the things that they went through was what my family was going through (having money troubles) and their house looked like a wreck and I thought that was awesome

I can never decide which are my favorite episodes but I did enjoy the Darlene David wedding episodes. I think that's when the show was really on top of it's game.

I watched that one while on the treadmill this morning - actually, the one after the wedding when Dan is in the hospital. I love when they go seperatly, and talk to "god" asking for more time with each other.

I also watched the one where Roseanne has the diner, and they keep getting free stoves, but DJ has found "religion" and gets upset about it.

I laughed for about 20mns last night over the episode where Dan brought home the dirty movie and he said "I figured we could watch it for a few minutes and then....you know...." and Roseanne said, "Then what? Barf?"

:rotfl:

I have to thank TVLand for running Roseanne all night since I'm up all night. That and the Golden Girls on WE. I might average 8hrs of sleep a week, but, heck, at least I'm laughing!
