I didn't want to watch it, but I got intrigued. I wanted to hate it. I wanted to hate it so much. I couldn't. I enjoyed it so much! I am looking forward to the next episode.

SIGH. I'm sure you are looking to be offended. Mostly I mean us doing better than them. I'm sure most of us are here. They are a struggling, poor, angry and unhealthy family that have never gotten ahead in life. Not one of them.

Think Roseane, John and maybe Darlene were on Stephen Collbert. I have since deleted all their appearances, so cant completely remember.

I saw Sara Gilbert on Colbert, but none of the others mentioned. It is funny how if you watch several shows the actors make the rounds of all of them (I cant stay up late so I tape several late night shows)

I think she was referring to the Harry Potter series and the Shades of Grey books.

I didn't like all the political stuff. (I watch sitcoms to escape that, not rehash it!) So I didn't end up watching the second episode. But I may give it another go if that settles down.

I watched it a second time (mainly to confirm the Ms. Crane Easter Egg) and I agree with the poster who replied to you. I don't recall hearing or seeing anything political. I like Will & Grace much better this time around, but there's a lot of political stuff. I don't expect this in upcoming Roseannes.

I just wish it were back longer than eight weeks.

I never liked the original, so I was baffled by the fact that they brought it back. I love The Middle which kind of follows the same demographic, but the writing is so much better and less angry. I won't be watching the new Roseanne if for no reason other than her screeching voice. I get an instant headache when I hear her talk.

Do they still own the restaurant? They were doing well financially at the end of the series with the business and Dan having a city job.

I agree. I said earlier I think it’s excact why the show works so well then & now. Some identify with the family & laugh & say “that’s us”. Then they’re are ppl who like it for the reason you’re saying who laugh AT it & say “wow we aren’t that bad” or thank goodness that’s not us”.

I loved Rosanne back in the day. It was a time the whole family seat and watched tv with out talking. I thought the new episode were great and can’t wait for more. I would like to know what happened to Jackie’s kid. He was the only one they didn’t tell us where he was.

They also didn't have Roseanne and Dan's youngest son, Jerry, who she had towards the end of the series. I wonder if they got the actor that played Fred to come back on the show.

Probably no Fred. The reboot isn't listed under his IMDb credits.

I think they said Jerry was on a fishing boat and did not come home much. They probably are not going to include him in the series. My guess is there would be no Fred either. In one of her interviews, Roseanne said they simply could not have everyone back as it would be too much. I think they are only doing 8 or 9 episodes.

There really isn't a reason to include Fred. Andy is grown and they have been divorced for over 20 years now.
