Does the Rose and Crown do something special for NYE? Or can I make their latest dining time and then have a place to watch the NYE fireworks away from the crowds?

So I booked a 9:35pm reservation here on NYE. Does anyone know if I can just order dessert and watch fireworks from here? It was the latest time I could get, but it seems like the restaurant isn't open until Midnight so I'm not sure if this is a good plan.

I wouldn’t count on being able to stay. You’re certainly welcome to go and only order dessert but I’m not sure it’s feasible to stretch dessert for 2+ hours and to your point, I think they close before midnight. Also, I believe in years past they’ve used their outdoor space for private parties.

Oh if the outdoor space is for private parties then going there completely defeats the purpose. I also noticed the restaurant hours go until 11:55 so I'm thinking my 9:35 was just what was left available. Probably will cancel it. Thanks!

It's kind of difficult to make dessert last 2.5 hours.
Ya when I booked it I thought it was the latest they had and then the restaurant just let people linger for fireworks. Makes more sense they have times up until 11:55. We're having dinner at 7:30 in France so probably won't be very hungry after
