We have always wanted to sit on the water at Rose and Crown and watch the fireworks. This year we are going to do it. When making the reservation, what do I need to request and can you guarantee sitting out on the water? Thanks!

No particular seating is guaranteed. We just had dinner there last month. When we checked in at the desk, I asked if we could be seated outside to view Illuminations. I had hoped that since we had made the ADRS at the 120 day mark, perhaps the seating request could be granted. We were advised that we would need to take a table inside. I was a bit disappointed until I started talking to our server. As soon as I told her that I really wanted to see Illuminations, she told us that she would take us outside when the show started. A few minutes before 9 PM she came to our table and walked us outside to a roped-off area that was on the water's edge. Several more R&C diners were brought there also. The view was fantastic! After the show, we went back inside and our server brought us our dinners. We were really pleased and realized that as long as you can get to the viewing area - all is well.

There is no way you can guarantee a table on the patio. When you arrive you can ask, but the CMs may say that you have to take the first available table. Also, not all the tables on the patio have views of IllumiNations.

If you are seated inside, let your server know you want to see the fireworks. Remind them a little before IllumiNations time and they will escort you to the viewing area adjacent to the patio which is just for R&C diners.

As long as the wind is not blowing towards the R&C you will have an excellent view. :)

You can ask when you get there, but there are no guarantees. You may be allowed to wait for a view table, or you may be told you need to take the next available table regardless of its location. I don't know how imperative it is that you watch the show while sitting at a table, but if you're good with going out to the viewing area, they do have that option.

As you can imagine, everyone wants to do the same. You will need to take the first offered table regardless of it's location. We sat inside and were quite happy. The waiter came to get us before the fireworks and we stood in the viewing section and had a perfect view. We then went back in and had dessert.

As PPs have said, R&C has a reserved viewing area for its patrons. The view is really good:
