Rope Drop?

We always do RD so we can be in the parks while crowd levels are low.

That way we are able to hit everything we want with minimal waits and can use FP+ when we return to the parks after an afternoon break at the resort.......we find RD to be one of the best times to in the parks.

Note that rope drop does not always happen right at the time posted on the schedule. MK opening ceremony and rope drop has usually been at 8:45am. When we were there last month with posted 9am openings, Epcot/AK/HS all started letting people in the gate somewhere between 8:50am and 8:55am.

How mad is the rush at Epcot to get to Soarin' when they open the gates? We have FP+ for Test Track, so we're planning on riding Soarin' as early as we can.

Like others have said - there is no wait for the attractions at rope drop

How mad is the rush at Epcot to get to Soarin' when they open the gates? We have FP+ for Test Track, so we're planning on riding Soarin' as early as we can.

As mad as you want it to be. There are going to be some people running, some people yelling at their spouses/kids to keep up, some people shoving past you with strollers. But the majority of the people will be heading over at a normal pace. If you walk straight to Soarin at rope drop, you won't have more than 10-15 minutes wait.

And you can dramatically lower your wait by being one of the first in line at the Mickey Readers-be there by 8:15 AM.
