Hi all

For our February trip we will be 3 adults, one 5 year old and a 2.5 year old.

I had planned to rope drop TT, get a rider switch and leave one adult there, run over to soarin, get a rider switch and leave another adult there and then take the kids on living with the land while the other 2 finished their rides. We'd then take the 4 year old on test track and soarin later in the day while the baby naps. After doing some research, it doesn't seem like this will work given the fact soarin seems to experience high wait times early in the morning. Thoughts?

I was hoping to grab a FEA FP, which is why we can't get a FP for the other 2 attractions.

Thanks!

Rope drop Soarin' (and get there early; rope drop is usually earlier than posted). Then single rider TT. You'll be single riding it anyway with a kid swap, so save yourself the hassle. The single rider line wait fluctuates wildly, but you will almost always find some point in the day that it's under 20 minutes, which is less time than your plan will take, with a lot less stress and crazy. Alternatively, FP Soarin' for midday to afternoon, rope drop TT (your wait will be approx 15 mins), then FEA as soon as WS opens (around 11a). That'll get you all three with min wait and no crazy.

Soarin' right now has been a 20 minute or less wait in the first 30 minutes of park opening, and has been reasonable within the first hour. Probably 35 minutes or less. I would rope drop Test Track and then go to Soarin. My info is based on three trips between June, July, and September. I always had Test Track and Soarin done within the first 40 minutes. I also did EMH one day and I got to Frozen at 8:40 a.m. (park opened at 9 a.m.). I eventually did Frozen, Test Track (single rider), and Soarin. I was done with all 3 of those by 10 a.m. using that plan.

The five year old doesn't do TT or Soarin'? If he/she doesn't, then the single rider line for TT would work. But if the child is like my four year old, you'll probably want to take him/her on both of those rides. My DD likes LwtL but she LOVES both TT and Soarin' and wouldn't want to miss either of them.

Thanks everyone!

We will head to TT, put my sister in line and get a rider switch and then run over to soarn, put my husband in line and get a rider switch, then I'll go take the kids to do something else while the adults wait in line. The plan was to take my daughter back to do those two rides while the baby sleeps.

Where do we get the RS for test track? Is it at the FP line? Hopefully the crowds won't be too bad in early February!!

Just to clear up something a PP wrote - FEA opens when the park opens, not when World Showcase opens. If you try to ride it when World Showcase opens, the line will likely be at least 90 minutes.

Having just come from a similar grouping, let me give my advice. Get fastpass for Soarin for one of the adults and the five year old and fastpass for Test Track for the other two adults.

Day goes like this:
FEA at rope drop
Use scheduled fastpass for Soarin and get rider swap - adult 1 and kid ride
Then adult 2 and 3 can take kid back on Soarin with rider swap or can save to use during nap
Adult 2 and 3 ride Test Track with fastpass and get rider swap
Adult 1 goes on Test Track with kid using rider swap (adult 2 or 3 could go a second time if desired) or can save rider swap for nap

You could also do the opposite so kid gets two rides on Test Track instead of Soarin if you think he/she would prefer that ride. We employed this strategy several times over the last week and it worked great. The rider swap system is a big help with small kids. We never waited longer than 15 minutes at rope drop for FEA, and with the rider swap system, you can get fastpasses for both the other two and all have a chance to ride.

We had planned on RDing TT and Soarin so we could do other things in that part of the park and then head to our 11 am princess dining in Norway. We also have to work around a nap......do you think it would be better to RD FEA and then head back to the seas and those attractions? Here was my plan.

Take one adult to TT and get FP
Take the other adult to Soarin' and get FP
Take the kids through Livin with the Land or maybe straight to the seas
The seas ride
Turtle talk with crush
the fish tanks
11 am breakfast
head back to TT and Soarin and use the RS passes while the baby sleeps
wander around WS while he's still sleeping
do FEA with FP
meet A&E
Journey with Figment (with FP)
Spaceship Earth (with FP)
And that's our day.

We are doing character breakfasts so no need to go to character spot and our kids don't know who Joy and Sadness are.

I think it sounds fine, but I'd send the 5 yo on either TT or Soarin the first time. My 5 and 3 yo loved both of those rides!

we're facing something similar to this and we love TT.
Plan is rope drop TT, Then go to Soarin, character meet, nemo, then back to TT for a FP around 11am for a 2nd time.

Fair warning: We had FP+ for Soarin last Monday the 24th and we still had to wait over 25 minutes (they quoted us 40 for the FP line but it wasn't that bad). Bring snacks or something to do. And don't count on your plan working perfectly for meeting up afterwards IF you encounter a wait like we did. Have fun!!
