Rope Drop TSM! ?

Has anyone tried to rope drop Toy Story Mania recently? Good idea, bad idea?

i prefer to wait for everyone to go to fantasmic and then the rides turns into a walk on and I enjoy a couple rides and jump into the the fireworks crowd near the front. I also don't like fantasmic that much..

can't speak for other times of day.

We walked right on today at like 9:15

We did this in September during EMH didn't wait long. We got on the ride and just before we were to go into the first room, the ride broke down. They made everyone leave and we were given paper FP's which were good anytime till the end of the month. If you aren't interested in any of the other rides I would rope drop TSMM. I think the addition of the third track has made the wait times much less than they used to be.

Have roped dropped it the last couple of times and didn't wait more than 20 minutes. If everything is up and running, you'll be fine!

I accidently did it my last trip, I wasn't planning on being there at rope drop but was up and ready so just went. I actually think I might have been a few minutes past rope drop as there was absolutely no line at the bag check or the tap styles. I waited about 15 min. and it was a moving line the entire time.

Did it twice in the past weeks and walked straight on both times.
Actually waited longer when we used a fast pass.

With the third track, you almost don't even need to. We rode it with a 20-minute standby in the early evening in June.
