We will be staying at BCV in May :cool1:. I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of their room views. We have stayed at the BC before with a water view room which also had a view of the Boardwalk. Now I know I won't get that kind of room at the BCV, but I am wondering what kind of views they do have. I have already put in a request to be facing Epcot, so if anyone has any pictures of that side of BCV it would be great....but of course any room view pics will be great too :goodvibes We are so excited to be staying here, this will also be our first time going to Disney as DVC members

I don't have pictures of our "Epcot View" - but really we felt pretty strongly it was as much - more - a "road view." And those views are on the way back end of the resort - not at all convienent.

You won't see much of EPCOT from any location, except maybe the backside of a few buildings.
I thought they did away with that booking category years ago.

If you were hoping to see some of the fireworks I would request woods view, upper floor, but even that won't guarantee anything but you'll have a better chance. It will all depend on which way your room is facing.
What type room will you have and I could give you some rooms that would work for whatever it is you are looking for.

Keep in mind there are no spectacular views at BCV. The biggest complaints I see here are from people that are along the road say it's noisy( and that area could also be construed as EPCOT view) Some think the pool views are noisy.

I personally prefer pool view, because there is usually some activity going on there and it's more enjoyable for me to watch people than trees. I also always request upper floors. And believe it or not from the upper floors (4 & 5) you can see wishes at the MK, albeit in the distance.
I like to be close to one of the elevators also. If at the parking lot end of the building the corridor can seem very long.

I hope you enjoy the resort as much as I do, I will be staying there for the 30th time in Nov.

I've never gotten much of a view at BCV, once the back of Epcot (I could hear and at times see tips of Fireworks with a good portion of roadway. The 2nd time I got a quiet pool view which wasn't so quiet and you face other peoples balconies within close proximity which I didn't like!

At OKW, SSR, AKV I can drink my coffee in my nightgown without being seen! Not so at BCV!

This is all so very interesting, as you can see we are newbies when it comes to DVC. I am so used to having room/view categories to choose from at the regular resorts, I just assumed that if our balcony was facing Epcot side and we had a higher floor (another request we had), we would be able to see Spaceship Earth and the high fireworks, I was unaware of a road back there. We will be staying in a studio when we go so if anyone has any suggestions on which view would be best for us (it is me, DH, DD7, and DD9) I would greatly appreciate it. When we last stayed there, we were very close to the IG, is there a section of BCV that is closest to IG? I know it won't be as close to IG as the regular resort is....just being curious. Thanks to all those that replied so far and to those that can help a fellow DISer out.

We requested higher floor wood view, which if you got it, eliminated the chance of seeing the road. Also for 4th or 5th floor wood view rooms, you can see a little bit of the fireworks if you are in the main building, and not in the wing. I'll try to post some pictures if I get a chance.

We were in studio room 375. Our first reaction was what a lousy view. Road and canal, but our opinion changed that very night! We got the complete view of EPCOT's fireworks and was close enough to even hear the music. Of course could not see the illuminations globe but still heard the music just sitting on our balcony. And we were so happy after that. No road noise when the balcony door was close....I would stay there again!

I've had a fifth floor at the back where you could see part of Epcot and see some fireworks. To me - nothing to write home about.

However, I got my parents a room this year. I LOVED the view. It would be pool/canal view I guess - we didn't make any requests. It's near the parking lot (to the right in the pictures) but it was centered right over the canal - perfectly. It's a long walk but you can cut through the pool area.

Here are some studios you could list on your reservation, they are woods view and you will see some of the fireworks, the higher the floor the better. You won't see Spaceship Earth from them and you also won't see the road or hear any noise from it. You will see a portion of the back of the BC resort.

222, 227, 231, 239, 243??
322, 327, 331, 339, 343??
422, 427, 431, 439, 443??
527, 531, 539, 543??
225, 325, 425, 525 are good but are HA rooms

The above are all close to the elevator, particularly the 22s and 27s
222 is the second closest of all BCV studios to the IG, (122 would be closer of course) down one flight of stairs and onto the path behind the BC, probably 5-10 minute walk (a little more than 1/4 mile). Also convenient for getting to the Marketplace.

About a year ago in the middle of the night, 2-3 am (i'm a lousy sleeper) I saw a Florida Panther wandering around on that side of the building, by time I got my camera it was gone, probably too dark anyway.

Personally I prefer the quiet pool views, there's more activity on that side, and I would rather watch people than trees grow. If I want to watch the fireworks I'll walk into EPCOT and be back in my room before most people will get out of the park. And you can see Wishes from the pool side particularly from the 4th and 5th floors on a clear night, albeit from 3 1/2 miles away.

The website that robertdangelo posted above is very helpful

I might be back there in May also, Memorial day week, but I haven't decided yet between BCV or OKW. Can save 18 points by doing OKW.

I hope this will help you decide what's best for your family, if there is anything else you would like to know you can PM me or post it here. I'll check back occasionally. Otherwise have a great trip and enjoy BCV.

Thank you everyone who have helped me out. Especially thank you to Skelooch for all the wonderful information that you gave me. This really helped me out a lot. I feel like such a newbie to all of this DVC stuff, eventhough I have been going to Disney since I was 9 years old :rotfl:. I know I probably shouldn't worry too much about our room view because we will be in Disney and that is all that matters :goodvibes Now I am off to look at that link that robertdangelo posted :)

You can see views here: http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/
Click on a room # to see the view from the balcony.

Our Epcot/Road view was 467 (469 has views - that was basically our view).

Nice fireworks view and lovely view of the Land and Spaceship Earth, although I'm not someone who would go out of their way for a fireworks view - Epcot is close enough to get a better view from WITHIN Epcot - and after 30 years of trips - I've seen Spaceship Earth, I don't need to keep gazing at it. But fireworks are 20 minutes - that road was a 24 hour a day experience.

For our next trip I've decided to let fate decide our view! I really do appreciate all the good info (and am taking notes ;)), but somehow I feel like I need to "wing-it" (i.e. no requests) our next trip and see where I end up. Crazy?!?!

WOW:cool1: those 2 sites are incredible! now I know exactly how to word my room request...I know,I know,no guarantees, but now I know what to ask for at least.....
