I was doing those virtual room tours and I wanted to get your opinions. We're stay at ASMo and POR - and although the several websites say that moderate rooms are 30 square feet larger than values - I don't see it.....is there a noticeable difference in person or what?

I don't know if you can "see" a difference because I've only stayed at SSR so far. I do know that the value standard rooms are said to be 240 sqft.

The moderate standard rooms at CSR, POR, & POFQ are said to be 314 sqft. That is 54 sqft larger than a value room. I'm not sure how long the rooms are in the values or moderates, but lets say they are 18 feet long. A difference of 54 sqft would mean that the moderate rooms are 3 feet wider compared to a value. Only a slight difference really, but one which you could probably see the difference if you were viewing the rooms in person.

The rooms at CBR are 340 sqft, which is 100 sqft larger than a value room. I would think you could see a definite difference in room size here compared to a value room (if you were viewing the rooms in person).

It's hard to see the difference in a virtual tour though, because you're only viewing the rooms in 2 dimension, so you have no depth perception.

I have stayed at both Value and Moderate resorts and you can tell the difference. It is not much of a difference, but it is noticeable. A moderate room comfortably fits 4 adults for a week (in my opinion) where as a Value would make it very uncomfortable.

I have stayed at value, mods and deluxe resorts... usually with 4 people (DH, DD, DS and myself). Here are my thoughts.

Yes the values are smaller... is that much of a difference between a mod... not really.... where we notice it is in the bathroom area.... most of the mods have douwble sinks and the values have the single... the area around the beds is adequate.

The mods... are slighty larger... but again I noticed more space around the bathroom closet area than the bed area. We travel each with a suitcase (large), a carry on, and then my DH and DS bring a set of golf clubs.. it is a little tight in the mod with all that stuff....and tighter in the value.

Deluxe... yes they are bigger.... but so is their furniture and bathroom areas. I find that the floor space... where you actually have room to walk around "feels" only slightly larger than the mods because of the increase in size of the furniture. With that being said though the closets and bathroom areas are much better... as well as the private balcony / patio.

We are fortunate that we are able to stay at the Shades of Green which bar far has the largest rooms... we are all very comfortable here.

We are mostly out of the room and pretty much use it for sleep and shower....so room size isn't that big of a deal to us.... as long as it is clean and comfortable we are okay!

One thing I noticed changing from moderate to value is the door actually brushes the first bed in the value resorts! *LOL* Not good if someone is sleeping, but otherwise not much of an issue.

The room I had at CSR was slightly longer that the ones at PC, and a tad wider. The vanity and bathroom areas were a bit larger at CSR than PC, and there was a bit more floor space in the main room. A moderate room would accommodate a Pak-N-Play at little more easily than a value resort--in my opinion.

The room size isn't much to talk about. The second sink, free fridge, coffee maker and hot tub are though. ;) Moderates also have a curtain between the sink area and the beds.

Yes there is a noticeable difference. It may not look or sound like much but it does help. As the previous poster indicated, the fridge, extra sink and curtain makes it easier.

The pools are a little nicer as well.
