Room Request Boardwalk Villas

Hi, everyone!

My wife and I are staying at the Boardwalk Villas in September 2017 and I wanted to ask if anyome has any suggestions for a floor or room request that we should attach to our online check-in! We are staying in a standard studio and I'm aware we can't request pool view or boardwalk because that is a premium view and we only have standard, but we wanted to know if anyone has stayed there in a standard studio and had a great room or knows to ask to be away from elevators or something of that nature! Anything like that would be of great help! Thank you!

With a standard view, most of the rooms will be on the driveway side of the resort facing the bus stop and part of the canal at the end....It's a long walk if you're at the far end, but a closer walk if you go down those steps and immediately out to the path leading to HS. So that's a positive...

We booked a standard view too, but upon check-in discovered we we're put into a pool view room.

Apparently if you are NOT DVC, which we are not and you book a standard room, you are likely to be upgraded because there are only so many standard rooms and they give those to DVC members first....at least that's what someone told me.

That's incredible, but unfortunately I don't think we will be given that opportunity because we are renting points, but thank you for your input!

One view was the pool it was on one of the upper floors, one was the canal, which was good since it was almost the very last room in the farthest wing and the walk to HS was fast. The last was also a pool view, it was a first floor room, we sat on our patio and watched the movie.

Wow, all of those sound fantastic! I am hopeful to get anything that even is comparable to those! I think I will request a room on the third floor away from the elevators towards Hollywood studios! Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Not really ..Unless you're on the end kinda facing HS......But If you go to the Community Hall *(near the quiet pool) you can clearly have a nice view.....The ones over EPCOT you'd need to have a boardwalk view, or perhaps *High Floor on the Village Green.

I wouldn't worry too much about being close to the elevators though because most rooms at the BW are far from the elevators. We've been able to see the fireworks at HS from a few rooms that overlook the canal. Request a higher floor room and cross your fingers

That's EXACTLY what we are going to do! Hopefully, we will be one of the lucky ones who requests a high floor and can see the fireworks! Thank you for sharing that!

For standard view, I always request top floor, across from the bus stop. Were able to see fireworks, although by now the trees maybe blocking the view, it's been awhile.
